It's true it takes longer to finish a load than a regular separate washer and dryer.
But honestly, it's way effortless than that. I've had it for a few weeks and the best thing about it is I usually set it to "end" at 6:30AM. so it'll start up whenever it needs to, and I'll wake up with a fresh load of laundry to do and also minimized wrinkle. Plus the power consumption is about 1 to 1.5kwh and 12 gallon each load. That's about $0.10 electricity and $0.10 water per load

I purchased this product through a heavily discounted deal in exchange for my review, which was a great opportunity given Duke Energy's frequent rate increases. Although the dry time is quite long, I appreciate the convenience of washing and drying in one cycle, and the ability to automatically pause between cycles to add dryer sheets without transferring clothes. One thing to consider and think about before purchasing is ensuring you have enough space for it... In my townhome, I initially struggled to fit it behind bifold doors due to its length, so instead rotated it 90-degrees to make it fit. Nevertheless, there's still sufficient room to walk in. If you have a spacious laundry area, you might consider two units to mitigate the drying time. This, along with a Rheem hybrid water heater, has helped manage my power bill. I only wish my windows were more efficient at blocking out heat now.

The lint tray is kind of annoying and is much bigger / has pieces you have to snap off/remove lint/put back together after each load. That and you have to monitor to make sure there isn't a lot of lint going into the heat pump/coil area. Just before it goes to the dryer cycle, it will flush out that area and will sound like it's going thru the wash cycle all over a gain when the water turns on/off a few times. Because of that, you will notice that the lint tray is kind of damp depending on when you check. That's normal and expected. The other thing to worry about is the warranty. Samsung doesn't have a dedicated center for warranty repairs and you might run into dead ends depending on whatever the issue might come up / plus this is still somewhat new technology, so a service repairman might be completely dumbfounded on what your issue is/maybe out of washer dryer for a while/while you sort it out. Luckily, I haven't had any issues of ownership yet since I got mine earlier this year.

Got it a few weeks ago and love it. (now applying for price readjustment). It washes and dries well - yes, cycles are longer and you cannot run washer and dryer in parallel ( as you would with two devices), but the convenience of running the cycle whenever and not worrying about moving things around outweighs the downsides.
Another benefit - front loaded washers often suffer from molding boot - no problem here if you run the drying cycle. On that note - you can set up the washing cycles to open the front door when the cycle is complete - another bonus.
