From the reviews it seems like these don't even hold if you put them on your dash, but works great on glass

Learn from my mistakes....if have hot summers where you live, the sun is going to heat your window/dash area significantly and this is very hard on a mobiles battery. I have ruined a few in my time and now use a vent mounted device.

Do these things actually come off your dash without tearing it up when you want to it remove it?

my vents are trashed from the ones from amazon but i would like one that isn't going to overheat my phone and cause it to be useless in sunlight

i'll try this out and see if the adhesive is decent than a clip

I haven't had issues on a normal leathery dash. Hasn't budged. Has a long retractable cable and cable clips too
