FYI you can get $3 off with Chase (make sure to activate) or Wells Fargo deals (if you have it on your card) + $4.50 from CB site, bringing this down an additional $7.50.
Sportsline deal is still better since it's adfree, right now it's $49.99 with their 50% off coupon.
or do the 3 month deal for $14.99, when you cancel they give you 2 months for free, and then just keep cancel + renewing.
Search SD for sportsline to see past threads.
Good deal for $5 a month that includes showtime. I get Paramount+ for free through Walmart+ ($12.99/month), and I get Walmart+ for free through Amex platinum. So if anyone here has Amex Platinum - you get Walmart+ and Paramount+ for free. You can add Showtime for $6/month.

Renewal is set to AUTO RENEW. Be Careful. Once billed , Paramount will not refund even if under 1 week.
Beware.
Cancel before the Renewal date.

Their wording has always been wrong on their website, read the sportsline SD threads... my only thinking is they actually mean, "For every month you stay subscribed; you get a new 30-day trial".

Even on my account now it says: "Paramount+: If you pay full price for a SportsLine subscription, you can take advantage of a 30-day free trial for the Paramount+ Essentials plan. "

Every single time I've signed up it says I get a 30 day trial, but I've done this on and off years now.

Most recently I signed up on July 12, I paid $4.99 for 3 months, I immediately marked my account as cancel and they gave me 2 more months for free, so my renewal is now Dec 12th.

And I just checked, I still have Paramount+ w/Showtime and No ADs...

"Subscription & Billing: It looks like you have a Paramount+ subscription via SportsLine. To make changes to your billing information, please visit www.sportsline.com."
Thanks for the info. Does it include CBSSN (sports)? so I can watch the CFL?

As somebody who has Paramount+ for years now here is what I like about it.

First off folks who get it for free every month with a new code are doing the right thing if they don't use Paramount as much as I do. But still this $30 yearly cost is not much for what I use it for and saves me the hassle of subscribing every single month.

Here is what I like.

- I am a soccer fan and all Champions League, Europa League and Italian Serie A games are being streamed.

- I love CBS shows and I am able to watch them add free and even catch old shows that I missed when I was younger.(46 years old and started watching TV a little more as I got older)

- I am able to watch local NFL games without worrying about an antenna.

- I am catching up on News thru CBS News and I am able to watch it live and also watch clips if I chose to.

If what I stated above doesn't apply to you then go the route of monthly codes. But if you like convenience of setting it and forgetting it, this is the best deal around for Paramount+. If you decide to subscribe check to see if your credit card has any cashback to sweeten the deal and go from there.
FYI, the $30 plan has commercials and you can not watch CBS channels live. The $60 plan is commercial free and you can watch CBS channels live. Can get as much as $9.50 cashback if you look around. At the moment no Amex offer but wouldn't give them my Amex card in any event. Always use virtual cards with limited funds as Paramount is notorious for charging even after you have canceled.

Price increase September 20th to $12.99 a month for the higher tier and monthly codes not flowing like they used to.

Good luck!

Yep, newbies always point to the terms, but the terms have never been correctly worded. Maybe one day they'll start doing it like it's written, who knows, but it's been worth it to me to take that chance. I've been getting ad-free Paramount Plus through Sportsline for years for very low rates. The first few years I subscribed, the subscription was less than $1 for the entire year including ad-free Paramount plus, and you always got a couple months longer than a year by cancelling and them offering you more to stay. The last year or two I actually had to pay $20 or so.

My subscription doesn't end until November, so here's hoping they do more good deals around Black Friday and I'll re-up.
Is it possible they fixed things given people like you taking advantage of the system? I am happy to jump if you will give me $50 if it doesn't work and I am stuck with Sportsline for a year without Paramount plus.

Thank you. I got the $60 plan. I assumed you could watch them with $30 plan as well. Thanks for providing the correct data.

Check the available deals on your credit card(s). It's not much, but one of mine offers $3 off the first payment on a Paramount+ subscription.

I already have Showtime via cable subscription and was annoyed that they shuttered the Showtime streaming app because of the whole Paramount situation. I used to be able to use the Showtime app to watch content on demand and now it's gone.

If I sign up for Paramount+ Essential, is there any way to add an existing Showtime membership and stack it? Even on sale, I resent the idea of paying for something I technically already have.

They refunded me before when I was charged. YMMV.

I watched Paramount plus a lot when I had the SportsLine deal. Then the writers strike hit. They have very little new content, so I let it expire. Did a free month, let it go again. The problem all the streamers have, a year or more in-between seasons is too much. I lose interest and can't remember the first season.
How is that any different from how regular television has always been? I used to watch Breaking Bad week to week as it aired… those year-long gaps in between seasons were brutal.

This is how TV has always been. You have to wait about a year give or take for a new season to arrive.

The real issue with the streamers is that there's just too many of them now — it's over-saturated and the prices are too high. Netflix was "the" alternative to cable… now, people are paying more for all their streaming apps than they did for cable packages.

My opinion? Expect more apps to shutter and consolidate over time. Showtime and Paramount+ is a good example. I think it will just continue and these streaming apps will start being bundled together more often in packages - basically just a modern form of cable subscriptions.

I guess, I remember the network shows. A summer off and a new season, in the fall. Not a year or longer between seasons. Even the Sopranos which ran for six seasons between 1999 and 2007 put out content faster than the streamers do now.

You are welcome. Not always clear about the differences in the plans and it would be a bummer if you bought the wrong one. Have a nice weekend!

Depends on your cable company. Spectrum/Charter let's you use the app if you are a Showtime subscriber. May even include the lower tier Paramount plus.

Not sure where to post this but very unhappy with the new "search" on slickdeals. Can no longer search by last activity which makes things time consuming and worthless. Old and expired deals come up first. If someone posts on an old deal that has been resurrected you will not see it. Time to start looking elsewhere for my deals. Anyone with suggestions?

Does the Walmart+ Paramount ad free?
