Both are two piece
Inshore plus: definitely worth the 45 for the rod and tackle. You probably have a better 40 reel tho (1 bearing labeled for 10/12/14 lb test)
Comes with a tackle kit that's pretty robust compared to like a Walmart Shakespeare kit
8 4inch curly grubs
1 .5 ounce spoon
2 saltwater jigs
1 ready rig
1 double drop rig
15 2/0 bait hooks
15 6/0 circle hooks
10 1/0 barrel swivels with snaps
2 1ounce sinkers
Rod is 2 piece 10-25 lb medium
The stealth spinner is a 2 piece medium 8-15 lb with a 30 reel 8/10/12 8+1 bearings 5.2:1 ratio
Both come pre spooled but no indication of what's on it

I'm having a hard time figuring out what size real these come with. I'm guessing that 7040 means 7' rod and 4000 size reel? But not sure. Any help is appreciated.

I haven't fished since my teens, now my little boy wants to go fishing, is this something I can buy for us and be ready to go, or not. Which ones would you guys suggest. This will more likely be a couple times a year thing, so not really looking for anything expensive unless he really enjoys it then I will invest.
