Key things to note: "Automatic Payments with bank account required" for the price and "Equipment, installation, taxes and fees, and other applicable charges extra".
you also have to keep in mind this is a contract deal, and there's a trick they do. current (soon to be ex) provider keeps the promised fee for internet and instead ADDS bonus fees via fee increases. This way, they're still providing you the internet at the cost they promised, but can still raise the overall cost and milk extra cash out of you no matter what.
It's why i don't like contracts and one of the main reasons i'm leaving my current ISP very soon.

I think what you're trying to say is that they make you pay extra for the modem, installation, and possibly router?

what i'm saying is they'll randomly add and boost costs to maximize profit outside of the contracted internet cost. That way they maintain the price listed via the contractual obligation while still boosting costs on you. And due to signing a contract, you can't just cancel and get out of the bonus fees and subsequent larger bills than expected.

for example, my ISP boosted the cost of my wifi service (not sure why considering it's the SAME service and not any harder for them to do) and just added something called a "recovery fee" (which was never there in the almost 5 years i had them). This way if i called to complain that i was on a promotion they can say "yes you still get the promotional -$30 monthly internet, we just increased other fees" so it doesn't count as them breaking the promotion.

Hate xfinity for all the gotchas they have. I cancelled my broadband a few months ago and switched to tmobile. Unfortunately that service is very unreliable. Speeds are anywhere from 1Mbps 500Mbps at random points during the day. I may have to go back to Xfinity Frown

I don't see this $20 offer for me, but the offers I see can all be had with or without wifi equipment. The contracts seem to include price guarantee for the duration of the contract, which varies from 12 month to 24 months.

Have the offer but I think these speeds are too low for streaming content in 4K or if you have multiple people working from home.

Set up your bank account, but still pay with credit card.

Yep, but most of us now just sign up for Xfi complete add on. It cost $25 a month. You get the unlimited data and use of their modem. They could easily say $10 extra per mth for unlimited on a customer owned modem and still make a killing but Nope, Leave it to Comcast to find a way to SCREW customers into not using their own equipment as well.

if where you move has comcast, then all should transfer no problem.

Otherwise I'd assume you ended the contract early.

You couldn't be more wrong. 150mbps is beyond the minimum requirements unless you like 10 tvs trying to stream 4k. Most streaming services dont even offer 4k, and those that do dont have much content.

I just tried ro run a 4k60 video on YouTube with xfinity hotspot on my TV and it would not run without stopping ( hotspot is stable and 30 Mbps ). Only 1440p runs smoothly. Maybe ymmv

edit : Sorry I got confused i meant to write 30 Mbps not 300 . so in that case 150 should work

Indeed Netflix *highest* 4k bitrate is 16mbps. That is 11% the advertised speed here. Even streaming at the higher blu ray but rates would be fine. The highest streaming but rate of any service I've ever seen is GeForce now which at 4k 120fps can go as high as 75mbps.
