I just wanted to post I have had 2 of these, and they never last long. At least in my case. For me this is 100% e-Waste.

I mean... At what point are you just breaking even on buying bags of ice instead?

Is frigidaire now just a generic maker that licenses the name to put on these products?
Price-wise it's a pretty good price.

Costco also sells this or very similar one, for $20 more, that one looks a little better.

I was reading about how these little ice makers don't last.

Looks like you can add a 3 year protection plan for $8 though. Not bad.

I bought this on the last deal. It's awesome for what it is. It makes ice so fast.

I got a similar type of bullet ice maker during the Amazon Prime sale. The ice it made melted so quickly in my drinks, it was very disappointing. I tried collecting the ice and putting it in the freezer to last longer, but it still just wasn't worth the effort. I returned the ice maker.

I have one, it's ok. It's useful if you are having a party and you want to set up an area for mixed drinks. It's not for everyday use. But in that small, limited capacity, it works great.

depends on application, if you're using this for camping, spending gas and time driving to buy ice will quickly out price a $60 ice maker

I have had 5 or 6 of these. They are great when they work but only last about 1 year. These are one of two things I get the protection plan. I live in Miami so they get heavy use year round.
