For this reason I've been looking at some of the cheaper $250-$300 units for my VW E-Golf, but I will most likely do the trenching work & bury conduit leading from the basement all the way out to the edge of the driveway where I'll build a stand and metal box for it. If I just pay the electrician to add the 40 amp service and do the final connections, how do I make out with the most savings?
Or has everyone that bought and paid for this now just been added to Fisker's long list of creditors.
