damn. i JUST switched to visible, but from something else. if you have amex business platinum, you can get $10 off every month meaning it will cost you $5 a month for this plan. extra slick

Their basic plan was unusable for me(hard to get service in Los Angeles since youre deprioritized).
Their upgraded plan is great tho.

If you live in a large metropolitan area, you will constantly be deprioritized and suffer low data speeds on this particular plan. Consider this more of a backup option for that scenario.

Hmm, I have both visible and tmo postpaid accts, wonder if I can create a new line, then port the new number over for this deal... its just a second line on a phone so I don't care about the actual number... Would be easier if a prepaid something worked, since I don't want to mess with my promos on my postpaid...

Good question! Was going to switch to AT&T earlier this week and contacted T-Mobile customer service to verify the prorated final bill. They confirmed they do NOT do this, nor does any major carrier. Looks like the only reason they would is if a specific state requires it hy law.

Yes, but this why you read these threads to gain more info. Maybe others can confirm or deny.

In many of these threads on here, people provide step by step instructions for things and extremely useful info that you wouldn't get from some cs reps.

I tried Visible, there is a 5mbps threshold for a hot spot. That's veryyy slow. Switched to US Mobile because of that. Correct me if I am wring about hot spot speed

Your friends credit but there is no new account credit. Meaning that your friend still gets their 20 but you don't get anything.

Yes, there is a throttle of 5mb but I am able to play Call of Duty on it with my xbox so just fine.

I tried visible 2 years ago using their ZTE blade phone. Data speeds were too low, often going to 1 to 2mbps. I had to toggle airplane mode to get faster speeds temporarily. I left visible when their support was unable to resolve the issue.

In terms they mentioned $5 monthly service charge so effectively you would be paying $20/month, not $15.

I've been impressed with visible. I have a rural second home and use two lines to provide internet service to the home. Since we're in an ultra wideband area the phone itself gets over 100mbps, and the Hotspot is unlimited and allows up to 10 devices (android Hotspot cap) at 10mbps. Works perfectly for keeping us connected, moderate streaming, and keeping our blink cameras online

I tried last month and the $25 is crap unusable. The data speed on this is nothing probably around 250 kbps( it shows 7mbps) I'm not sure how they are throttling.
