What a snobby take. Zoji do have better quality control but you pay for that in $$$. Expect to pay 50% to 100% more. You also have to sort out Japanese-made from Chinese-made Zoji, which is annoying, but a one-time decision. Zoji is also woefully behind Cuckoo lately, introducing pressure technology only very recently and for a lot more money. If some faceless corporation gifted me a choice of Cuckoo's top product or Zoji's top product, sure I might choose the Zoji. But for my money, Cuckoo. But I'd compare features to see which one met my use cases anyway. They're quite different.
All Cuckoo are from Korea. The Korean consumer market tends to be halfway between the US and Japan or EU. You get better safety standards and people who care about their wares compared to US. But they also sometimes cut corners compared to Japan. Industry stamps and certificates are a joke; what matters more is company reputation. You think all the ROHS stamped products coming out of China are for real? Anyway, we're not in the EU; such ROHS stamps are a joke in the US. I'd trust a Korean-made product one hundred times over an American product and ten thousands times over a Chinese product.
As a half Korean and a Cuckoo owner, I 100% recommend this. Rice stays fresh for up to 4 days in this and cooks it perfectly. I've had a Zoji from Costco that I stopped using as after a 2 days the rice is bad.
Are people seriously keeping cooked rice in the cooker warm for 4 day?
I couldn't cancel my Zujirushi order on time, eh guess I'm skipping this deal
any idea why Zujirushi has so many vocal fans, I was searching on Reddit and everyone
was "buy Japan-made Zujirushi and ignore other brands" (or China made Zujirushis)
Zojirushi has great quality control and build quality. I have the repair facility near me in Torrance and some items I had running 24x7 for several years were repaired there at a very reasonable cost. I think the Cuckoo is higher tech and they seem to have done the most R&D on pressures, but if I had to buy one that would last it would be Zojirushi.

My Cuckoo (which isn't a newer model or top of the line) doesn't keep the rice ready-to-eat warm 24/7 during those multiple days. It will go into low heat mode after X hours, there are also settings you can play with regarding this + reheating options
I'm likely biased but I've grown up with cuckoo rice cookers, these are equivalent to Zoji's coffee tumblers in terms of how well regarded and loved they are
I'm due for a new model as my basics Cuckoo is getting old. Are there any rice cooker enthusiasts ( a hot topic for people who eat rice everyday ) that can comment if this pressure model is good or if it's worth splurging on the infra red models or induction models?
Don't store it in these. Risk of bacteria growth. Move it to the fridge. Stick to your routine.
I think the point of these is they keep the rice out of the danger zone for multiple days. It's actually more dangerous to cool then reheat since it's the bacterial metabolites that are the danger in room temp and below rice
Owned two Zojirushi rice cookers. Haven't try cuckoo yet.
The rice cookers Zojirushi manufactures are reliable but you'll eventually have to replace the inner teflon pot. The rice cooker just doesn't die even after 10 years. Customers have asked them to offer a stainless steel inner pot on their company blog and they have ignored it for years. I wouldn't be surprise if selling the replacement pots keep them alive since you can only get it directly from them and price starts at $50+ depending on model.
On another note, people really shouldn't be eating rice left in a rice cooker especially over multiple days. Look into Bacillus cereus and how it actually grows from heat.

If they keep it out of the danger zone then it's being cooked.

although I really don't need a 10 cup cooker

I've been eating rice my whole life, and we usually just throw the leftovers in the fridge.
I've also never had a big enough family to regularly have a 10 cup machine, and always figured these things were for restaurants and big families.
But if you're keeping rice warm over several days, I can see where several cups is easier to go through
All of my rice cookers have been glass tops, including my current zojirushi, which is really nice
