My pleasure! Sorry that all my deals are on knives, I just love collecting budget folders and finding a great deal on one ticks all the fun boxes for me. I try to post links to articles on knife laws, various types of knife steels or other related info along with the deals, since I don't want folks thinking I have some kind of creepy weapons fetish, lol! Try telling someone you own a sword or two in polite conversation! You can see why I keep that sort of thing between myself, family and close friends. Except for you fine SlickDealers, of course. TMI???

This would be awesome if it had speedsafe. Still manages to be cheaper than chicago knifeworks so it's a slick deal for sure

Good deal for starter knife or need a spare. I have half a dozen knives already and all my money goes into guitars now but the thought is nice!

I've been a big fan of speedsafe ever since my dad got me a kershaw blur when I was 16 or 17. Tbh it does take getting used to, but my current edc (dividend) is a flipper which makes it even more satisfying. I know non assist knives have their place but I'm personally not looking for them.

I kind of feel the same way, like Kershaw uses its speed safe assisted opening to cover up for less than stellar actions. Kershaw was one of the first brand of knives I really got into collecting but then I picked up a Ganzo Firebird fh41 and it had a manual flipper action that was like butter with a perfect detent that was almost impossible to fail on opening. Now, I have a hard time using any knife that has assisted opening, but it's all personal preference, really.

At the end of the day you are bringing a deal to people even if it's the only pocket knife they ever buy, and a decent D2 folder by a recognized brand with good reviews certainly fills that need. I wonder if the people who don't relate would be surprised to learn that there are both men and women of different ages on the knife subreddits, but they can also simply take advantage of the one deal and not worry about the rest.

Why do companies over inflate shipping and handling? If they want to move inventory, free s/h!

At least these guys seem to not raise it much with multiple knives. CKW has shipping weights that are significantly higher than actual weight. I understand there's the physical dimensions too but if I'm going to end up buying multiple knives and there isn't a significant difference in the price of the knives themselves that's going to be the deciding factor.

In what universe is this Chinese knife normally $72?

It reminds me of Ka-Bar Dozier which is available in D2 for $25-30 and it's from Taiwan not China.

Or get the new Ozark Trail D2 with slide lock for $10.
