There is an AMEX 100 off 500. So I bought this for 619. Maybe not the slickest deal ever, but good enough for me. Hopefully the quality is decent. I have never had issues with screen not bright enough. just saying.

if you have amex business platinum dont forget to use your $200 bi-annual credit. if you have multiple business platinums you're allowed up to 3 credit cards to stack.

too heavy for me though. Im just spoiled by ultra thin laptops I guess but when I see a laptop weight and it starts with a 3, it just feels like it's unnecessarily heavy. especially for a 14"

Ugh just missed this. Keep us posted on your opinion of the screen. I feel like that's the only nit.
