It would be a system with 16 GB of RAM, not 20 GB. The integrated graphics card cannot make use of the 16 GB either. It's 4 GB, which is definitely on the low end for modern games.

Does this also have an iGPU for switching when not gaming which would help with battery life?
Is 5 lbs a good weight for a gaming laptop? I'm guessing at most the weight would drop by a pound for a much pricier machine, correct?
Does this have a 2nd SSD slot? I would love to just be able to drop in my SSD from my current laptop to add to what this already has
Edited to add one more (probably dumb) question... Is DDR4 RAM not outdated for gaming? I almost never see it on gaming laptops anymore.. I am clueless about RAM tech though so please bear with me if that is a really dumb question lol
5 lb is typical weight for this tier of gaming laptop. for it to drop a pound, they'd lower the power to the dGPU so it would require less cooling and thus smaller heatsink, but in-turn put in a more powerful dGPU with more "pipelines" to compensate the lower power/speed.
i wouldnt say DDR4 is "outdated for gaming". games use the VRAM first (this one has 4GB VRAM) before it uses system RAM (in this case DDR4). even though 4GB VRAM is very little in today's standard, but it is way better than none, which is the case for iGPU.

If anything, for computers with integrated graphics, the amount of RAM dedicated to that needs to be deducted from the total memory, to make some sort of valid point about performance. Not doing so is a common mistake many people make.

While other 8GB RAM would likely work, the best thing to do is get the exact same 8GB memory. Perhaps if one Slickdealer plans to upgrade to 32GB (16x2) he could be persuaded to sell, (or give away) his 8GB RAM.

While many PC components are supposed to be interchangeable as long as the correct type/speed/spec/size etc are used, sometimes this is not the case. This is something that many people who build their own computers find out, sometimes the hard way. It's why I research not only the best components and price, but if those components all work well together.
