BUYER BEWARE - Idk if it was just my Olive Garden but the one I went to charged for the protein for every refill brought out for the pasta bowl - I'm calling to check if this was a mistake or not but just in case - BUYER BEWARE

Edit/Update: Aight it's only for the grilled chicken so I got a refund - so if you get the grilled chicken they will charge you for every refill

I worked for Olive Garden for 7 years. Some things they do microwave, like steamed veggies and stuff. Pasta sauce is made from scratch in house in large batches then vacuum sealed and refrigerated or frozen (I can't remember which). Pasta is partially cooked and kept warm then boiled for a few minutes and tossed with sauce heated in a pan. Sausage are deep fried. Pretty sure the meatballs are frozen and baked in sauce. Breaded chicken (chicken fritta) is also frozen. Breadstuffs are half baked from the factory(?) then baked in the oven for a few minutes at the restaurant and topped with butter and garlic salt when done. Soups are scratch made in house the same way the sauces are. Large batches then sealed and reheated in a water bath when needed. Steaks are grilled, chicken is grilled. Most fried things are frozen (think calamari, toasted ravioli, etc). I haven't worked there since 2013 so things may have changed since then but this is my past experience.

Additional note: As a server, I hated the NEPB. It got crazy busy, you had to do more for your tables cuz of the refills, and it was cheaper than the normal entrees so you almost always got tipped less. I've also experienced customers throwing up in the restroom between refills just so they could eat more. It's disgusting. If you do take advantage of this promo, be kind to your servers and wait staff. It sucks for them.

Read what they wrote. They said they were getting charged that PER refill, not the fact protein costs extra.

Does Olive Garden just microwave the food and serve?

RIP Pasta Pass IYKYK
I saw "Never-ending" and the image was pasta and I got excited. The one time I got it I ate OG 2 meals a day 6 days/week for all 10 weeks, with 1 exception. My work had an evening event that was going to include dinner. Even though I never got sick of OG I was excited to eat "not pasta" for once. We got there and they had freakin Olive Garden catering. My friends almost died of laughter when they walked in ahead of me.

I'd rather go to Golden Corral. Same quality for the same price, and all the meat you can eat.
Golden corral is like eating out of a toilet bowl

It's says it's $4.99 for your choice of meat addon right there in the post
It should be a flat one time $4.99. Poster is referring to the fact that he got charged $4.99 each time he received an "endless portion". He should only have been charged one additional $4.99 regardless of how many portions he had.

...and unlimited meat so fresh that you can still see the marks from where the jockey was hitting it.

Getting unlimited pasta that doesn't include protein is not a deal, the protein is the only part of that meal that costs the restaurant money and it's the only part of the meal with any real nutritional value, save your $14

when my SO was super into the pasta pass I would always tip a fairly large amount, like 20 bucks or so. worked out for everyone since if they recognized us they just let us abuse it (sharing a single pass, taking a bunch home etc).

Anyone try this with kids? Do they have a kids version or do I need to order one for everyone?

I confirmed I went yesterday and the waiter told me they charge per refill on GRILLED CHICKEN but not the chicken fritta included in the promo that's a one time charge. They wouldn't make an exception so we skipped protein altogether.

In the past you were able to. Funny thing is the plates kept getting smaller and smaller each round you get lol!!!!

So that's always entertaining to see.
I actually appreciated that they brought a smaller plate on the second round. I knew I wanted some more, but I wasn't sure I had enough appetite for another big plate of pasta. Fortunately it was just a small bowl on the second round.

This was my take, after getting it last week. I'm not a big fan of OG, but my wife likes it for whatever reason. I realized that the unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks was probably a better deal, as the soup is much more well-rounded meal than just pasta and sauce.

last time I went and got spaghetti I was very disappointed.

id rather buy 1 pound beef, 1 jar raos, 1 jar diced tomatoes, and some good noodles, all for like 8 bucks and have a ton, and I can make my own garlic toast that taste better.

I'm pretty sure there is a gluten free noodle you can choose!
What's gluten? Is there an upcharge with or without gluten? Sounds like gluten for punishment.
