BUYER BEWARE - Idk if it was just my Olive Garden but the one I went to charged for the protein for every refill brought out for the pasta bowl - I'm calling to check if this was a mistake or not but just in case - BUYER BEWARE

Edit/Update: Aight it's only for the grilled chicken so I got a refund - so if you get the grilled chicken they will charge you for every refill

I worked for Olive Garden for 7 years. Some things they do microwave, like steamed veggies and stuff. Pasta sauce is made from scratch in house in large batches then vacuum sealed and refrigerated or frozen (I can't remember which). Pasta is partially cooked and kept warm then boiled for a few minutes and tossed with sauce heated in a pan. Sausage are deep fried. Pretty sure the meatballs are frozen and baked in sauce. Breaded chicken (chicken fritta) is also frozen. Breadstuffs are half baked from the factory(?) then baked in the oven for a few minutes at the restaurant and topped with butter and garlic salt when done. Soups are scratch made in house the same way the sauces are. Large batches then sealed and reheated in a water bath when needed. Steaks are grilled, chicken is grilled. Most fried things are frozen (think calamari, toasted ravioli, etc). I haven't worked there since 2013 so things may have changed since then but this is my past experience.

Additional note: As a server, I hated the NEPB. It got crazy busy, you had to do more for your tables cuz of the refills, and it was cheaper than the normal entrees so you almost always got tipped less. I've also experienced customers throwing up in the restroom between refills just so they could eat more. It's disgusting. If you do take advantage of this promo, be kind to your servers and wait staff. It sucks for them.

Read what they wrote. They said they were getting charged that PER refill, not the fact protein costs extra.

Ya it's bs. In Portland or it was 15.99 and our server told us it was extra 4.99 for protein with every refill. I had chicken frittata and my buddy had sausage. Considering the second bowl has about a chicken nuggets worth of protein. They can suck it

I managed to get the pasta pass two years in a row. I am still trying to lose the weight I gained.
I got the pasta pass 3 years (in a row? I don't remember). I went every single day and I made sure to maximize my portions so that my takeaway was also enough for an entire meal. The most I went was 4 times in one day - I hit every single olive garden from my home to school and work and planned out my lunch, dinner and dessert. I gained on average ~10lbs every year.

My friend maximized his portions as well and had an additional month of take-home meals for his wife even after the deal ended.

My primary choice: Rigatoni + Five-cheese + chicken
Secondary choice: Fettucine + meat sauce + sausage

That Five cheese + those 100cal breadsticks. mmm.

A tad more expensive than the normal unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks. So, meh.

According to BLS inflation statistics, this should be $12.61.

I'd rather go to Golden Corral. Same quality for the same price, and all the meat you can eat.
GC by me is $26.99 for the buffet & a drink - GC has way more options of course & your point is still valid

dude I just posted how to make your own spaghetti above for 8 dollars that taste way better.- granted I shop at Costco and sams club frequently so I buy these supplies often, and on sale even more so. so I have tons of these. but still.

4 dollars raos sauce
3dollar 1lb beef
91 cents spaghetti pack
81 cents canned diced tomatos (optional, but I love chunks of tomatoes in my sauce)

I also keep meatballs frozen in freezer so if im feeling extra festive, toss a few of those into the sauce simmer for extra meaty experience,. I keep meatballs on hand for meatball subs (12 buns at sams club is 5 bucks, sliced provolone cheese at sams club is cheap, and use a few spoon fulls of raos sauce on the meatballs and bun and broil melt the cheese)

easy cheap meal, and I keep buns frozen in freezer for late night from work meals.

maybe im just cheap, but I cannot justify 14-20 dollars for spaghetti from a place, and then have to pay tax, and tip on top, and my gf meal would easily double that. I cant see Olive Garden sticking around in another 10 years. brb 50-60 dollar spaghetti dinner out meal

and it didnt even taste good last time I went, we had gift cards from family. was disappointed.
Also , the people on the " u can't make a pasta dinner for 8-9$" side aren't including gas & wear&tear on their vehicle to & from OG - ijs ,after all this is a slickdealer's profit margin debate 😁

Not to mention, I think my spaghetti

Raos + diced tomato's + the members mark crushed seasoning and garlic salt and beeeeef taste amazing.

Toss a few pieces of bread w butter and some garlic on them into toaster oven for few minutes, also satisfying.

I think it just taste better. When I went last time to Olive Garden, I was really let down. It just wasn't great. Mine is better and way cheaper and more of it. Takes no time at all to make

Haven't been to any sort of buffet in ~ 15 years so I had to look it up.

Local GC is ~$17 for dinner & ~$12 for lunch.

Where do you live?
