One of the longest running stores giving how VUDU has gotten bought out multiple times now. Additionally they upgrade from HD to 4k for free when available.

I ONLY buy Apple now.

On September 12, 2023, I was lucky enough to see the notification for Burn Notice: The Complete Series for $19.99 on Apple TV.

I caught onto this years ago too. iTunes/MA or forget it. The studios can still pull and/or do the "Special Edition Switcheroo" on movies from iTunes, but it's the safest of a precarious "digital vault" infrastructure.

My largest compliant is if you already own part of a box set, you won't get a discount for buying the box set. Unlike steam when you own the game you get a discount when you buy the "complete" edition. However it would appear no other service provides this anyhow, so it's more indicative of the market than it is itunes itself.

I will say the apple tv app is not great on anything but apple tv. I tried the apple tv app on roku devices and it's just not great from a UI perspective (granted not as amazon video bad). It's also super slow. But when I had an apple tv, night and day difference.

people still pay for shows. I just download them from streaming sites.
I do the same for movies, but many TV shows are just too big and I don't have the patience to collect them all (or watch them).

I'm willing to do smaller series like any owned by Disney, where the seasons are 16 eps or less.

Anyone know how the quality is for Psych? Streaming quality always seems very mediocre.

$25 for one season of Heroes seems steep.

In for Psych. One of my favorite shows and I've been waiting for it to be discounted digitally.

Now to decide on Avatar. $30 for the series isn't bad but I already own it physically. Debating on if I should get a digital copy as well.

Of course I see Ninja Turtles on sale after I already found them discounted on Vudu awhile back. I really don't love using Vudus player to watch though.

I buy bluray or dvds then rip them. If the price cheap enough or I don't have the physical then I'll buy on vudu or apple
