Yes, Linksys LN1301 is a terrific router with 2 GB RAM and 1 GB of flash. Insane! I thought my Netgear R7800 with 512 MB RAM is pretty good until the specs on LN301 blows the R7800 out of the water and is a tri-band router as well!

With wireless mesh (instructions below), it's one heck of a deal and blows DECO AX5000 deal out of the water, imho.

EDIT: UPDATED instructions for enabling MESH (thanks to @rbtcordell for the original source):

1-Setup your Main router completely.

2-Plug your child node using the wan port to the main router lan port, wait for a solid purple light on the child node before proceeding

3-Log into your main router web admin.

4-Click on CA at the bottom right.

5-Click on Connectivity and CA Router setup.

6-Click on both Add Wired and Add Wireless nodes buttons. Wait for the Add wireless button to re-enable.

7-Click Done adding Child Nodes and then Apply.

8-Now the child node light should start flashing purple and turn into a mesh mode when it turns blue.

9-Disconnect Ethernet and wait for blue light again.

10-Move node to desired location.

set it as an Access Point.
1. Disable DHCP (optional)
2. Set the device to Bridge Mode under Connectivity tab
3. Connect cable from your router to a LAN port.
4. Get some nail polished and a round sticker to cover the annoying flashing right light.
5. Click the 'AC' at the bottom of the page to see the detail configurations of wifi.

Anyone with your common Intel AX200/AX201 or AX210/AX211 adapters able to connect to this router at 2400mbps link speed? If not, what's the max link speed that you're getting on either of the 5Ghz radios?

If this is the case, is there any other way to get the tracking information without UPS MyChoice? Perhaps through some reference number or something?
I have the product shipped to a package forwarder, so it doesn't let me enrol for MyChoice.
Use your WOOT order number as the reference number and the destination zip on ups's tracking site and it should pop right up.

Is there a way of enabling the usb somehow?
My old Netgear R6250 has a usb port that I can use to share files throughout the network.
Is this possible with the Linksys router?

Any idea how to reserve IP for Guest Network? I see that the by default the Guest Network is put into a different IP range (subnet?) e.g. the main wifi is 192.168.1.x but the Guest Network is in 192.168.3.x

I am trying to use Guest Network for IoT devices.

I've followed these instructions to a tee but my child node doesn't start flashing purple after clicking apply, any idea what I'm doing wrong?
edit: It works now I was clicking on the Add wireless button after it re-enabled Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

No luck, I had tried this earlier, but didn't show any results. Tried it today, still the same. Perhaps its not yet shipped? My order is from Aug 29.
Can someone who received their Woot order confirm if tracking using the order id as the Shipment Reference is working?

Tracking by using the order number as Shipment Reference worked for me. I ordered on the 26th. I did an additional order on the 30th which has not shipped yet.

You can try this for Chromecast https://blog.christophersmart.com...on-openwrt I will be happy to answer your questions if you get stuck so you can ping me
Thank you for encouraging me to try again. I think I finally got it.

I am seeing an interesting issue on my MX4300/LN1301 router with Lytr build. I should preface this with the fact that I only use LuCi and cannot use the command line. The issue I found is that if you switch the network assigned a wireless interface - e.g. I switched "myhomessid" from the "mainvlan" "guestvlan", it will then permanently have "isolate clients" setting on, invisibly - LuCi shows that the setting is OFF. However, I verified by trying to connect various wifi clients to each other, and it didn't work, while wifi<->ethernet connected devices did work. I then proceeded to delete the wireless interfaces completely, save it, reboot router, and then re-create the wireless interfaces with the correct settings. Once I did that, all was well. This is perhaps the same issue I might have run into months ago, and not realized it?

Also, during the troubleshooting process I switched from avahi-dbus-daemon to avahi-nodbus-daemon. I am not sure if that helped at all, but I am NOT willing to go back and try shake head I've run into so many little OpenWRT glitches here and there that I know to just back up my current config and be happy.

Anyway, that is my story, thank you for the little push for me to try it again!

Sure you are welcome. I setup mine today with lytr's branch including vlans and avahi, Adguard. I needed more packages like wireguard, docker so built the image myself. I will install it tomorrow and see how it goes. I will add external storage as well but in general openwrt lytr branch is quite stable

Thanks for the update. For your order from 26th, did the status on Woot get updated to shipped or is it still showing as Preparing for Shipment?

I had emailed Woot yesterday asking for the status of one of the two orders (08/29) to get an ETA on when it would be shipped, and they just refunded the full payment saying they don't have inventory to ship a replacement. The order doesn't say its cancelled though. It seems like Woot has no visibility on the fulfilment process.
Would the item still get shipped, no clue.

Mine is 8/29 also! Strange Amazon is still selling these??????????????????

But I do remember from a previous deal the shipping notice came from Amazon.

Could be these are all returns from businesses that sent them back.

Yes, that's what's confusing me. I had placed an order from Amazon (Seller is Woot) on the same day 08/29, and it was shipped out within 24 hours. And the product is still available for sale through Amazon.
The whole thing is definitely odd.
