Costco has two units and they have this one for about $350.

514-4HT is the Intel version with a brighter screen (300 nits) and no backlit keyboard. Overall reviews are positive with 4.3 rating from 110 reviews - the negative reviews point toward a bootloop issue.
514-3HT is the AMD version with a 250 nit screen and a backlit keyboard. It has slightly higher reviews with a 4.6 from 147 reviews - the negative comments are about the screen being dim.

Both look like solid machines.

Bit on this for my last year middle schooler, the model # states 'Plus' although the description doesn't. Hopefully this can last him even into early high school years.
