Out of all the storage I've bought over the last 25 years, Lexar has been the worst.

Not sure about the Lexar hate. This is a well reviewed card with decent performance. Got it last time this deal was front page and it sold out pretty quickly. It's been working in my steamdeck with no issues for a year.

Is this a deal for use on the PS5 or are there better options for around the same price?

Too bad this is Amazon. I wonder if they are price matching a reputable seller?
Yup. B&H. I'd get it from them and not risk a fake.

it's sold and shipped by Amazon.com. not a 3rd party seller.
Does Amazon sell a lot of fake ones??

I don't know about Lexard microSD but their USB drives were SOLID. Never had the 1GB-5GB flash drives EVER fail.

I wouldn't use lexar in data critical components as my failure rate with their cards is about 50%. Purchased 6 cards from them few years ago to use in security cams and had to replace 3 of them over last couple years.

When it comes to sd cards it's either Samsung or SanDisk for me.

This won't work for the ps5 you need a internal SSD

Compatibility for this card is the worst I've ever owned. It's for "play", but the card kept getting corrupted when I tried to use it in my modded Switch. This is not a deal because this card is trash. Don't buy.

Very interesting how I can get a 1tb nvme for about $65-$70 or I can get one of these for the same price but for a fraction of the size
It's all about speed! 😉

It was an American company. Now it's chinese, which potentially makes it even more problematic IMO.

Can a micro SD of this size be compatible with the Nintendo Switch?
Yes. The Switch can support cards up to 2TB in size.

If you get a non-knock off one, these work perfectly well in the Steam Deck. I've had mine in one since spring 2022 when mine arrived and haven't had an issue.
