I picked one up today. Couple observations

Store showed 20+ in stock online but I searched for a long time before I found one (of 2) back by the ceiling light fixtures. It was not marked on clearance but had the original $35 price tag. No doubt why it was very dusty, but it rang up for the 8.93 that it showed online.
It's not in a box, it's in a cardboard surrounded bubble pack that's much larger than you'd think and will stand out if you manage to find it.
It is UL listed and has the actual holographic label on it as proof
It does have a center screw, which is essential to me
The USB ports are 5v/2.1A (total) - very low and no longer something you'd want to use as you daily charger
It's big, even without the shelf
It'll cover your outlet no problem but it's not the type that will mount flush to the wall around your outlet cover and you won't want to mount it without the cover in place
Its made of the finest Chinesium.

I bought a 3 pack of these a while ago because I wanted to free up some counterspace in the bathrooms. Unfortunately the spacing between the receptacles on GFCI outlets is a little wider than other outlets, so it didn't fit on those plugs. Only 1 bathroom had a non-GFCI outlet that was downstream from another GFCI where I could use this product.
I realize I could switch all the circuits over to GFCI breakers in the panel, but that's a lot more money and work.

EDIT: I was mistaken. The reviews say this version only plugs into one receptacle, meaning it might be a little loose if you have decora outlets and can't use the center screw, but at least it should fit your GFCI outlets.

I picked one up today. Couple observations

There are actually 3 different socketshelves on clearance at Home Depot. I got 2 ultra and 4 regular with USB-c adapter. The details from the OP is for the regular without USB-C adapter. I suspect the $6.33 price is for the regular without USB-C adapter.

Ultra is $9.83.
Regular with USB-C adapter is $7.33.

The video in the HD link shows the person plugging it in without using the center screw. That seems risky.

Luckily my local store was showing 9 of these in stock. However when I arrived at the store the app would not tell me where they were. In store they were showing 10 in stock and they were in the overhead and an associate had to get them down.

I bought these for my kids to use in their bunks in the camper so hopefully they work for that.

I found a few on a bottom shelf end cap behind a bunch of random stuff. No price tags or anything. I think they are there, but it's more of luck whether they are visible or not

When Home Depot puts items on sale, the final sale price before marking the item down to $0.01 will always end in a "3" just like this price.

I found about 7 of them at my local HD for 6.33 each. They had a top and bottom shelf. No center screw. They were all brown/tan in color. Located on an end cap with other clearance items near the aisle with extension cords. (also found a nest temperature sensor for 9.82 in the same area). State College, PA.
