I believe it means the opposite, more deals means more recognition of it.

This is just popping up more probably because less people play with Xs anymore.

I also think it means the opposite. Companies rushed to produce as much as possible thinking there is no ceiling to how much this stuff will sell, but lots of companies did that and now there is a surplus of pickleball stuff.
