Beware, beware, beware ANTYHING refurbished from Ecoflow. They have notoriously bad refurbishment and QC processes and you really roll the dice if you go this route.

Too big for a power bank. Too small for battery generator in a what if scenario. Make sure you know what your use case are before buying.

The switchover time is 30ms which is pretty slow for UPS. It might be fine depending how much much holdup time the switch PSU has. A UPS should really be 15ms or faster.

Thanks for the post. I need a backup battery for my router and PoE access points. Purchased a traditional 1350VA UPS for $109 from Costco, but I'm thinking this would be a better option at the same price. Would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

Considering for an "off-grid" shed as a cheaper option than running permanent power but still getting lights and light duty uses like charging 18 or 40V batteries etc.

Then run an extension cord to charge the battery back up whenever a top up is needed.

I have about 40 watts of outdoor lighting I run after sundown. It's too far to run line, and provides enough power to run the lights. I also have an outdoor grill station that does not have power, I use these to run several fans and a TV. Lasts about 2 hours.

I guess my reply question would be what's the watt hours on the UPS. One thing that makes LFP batteries attractive is not having to replace the lead acid battery every 3-4 years. LFP batteries should be good for 10+ years if it's any good.

Most UPS guarantee <15ms transfer time whereas the river2 is rated for 30ms. I would expect it to be fine, but this will also likely have higher idle power consumption on pass through compared to a traditional UPS.

Perfect for using Starlink for the evening while camping. Perfect for keeping an already-cold 12v fridge cold. Perfect for excellent MPPT solar generation.

How is getting a two year Allstate/Squaretrade warranty rolling the dice?

That was my thought as well. The 1350VA UPS uses two 7ah 12v batteries, so that should be a total of 168Wh. The longer transfer time is not an issue for me; I just don't want to lose internet for hours during our many power outages.
I have no doubt the LiPO4 battery would last longer than a standard lead acid battery (especially with SOC app-capped at 80%) but I'm just not sure about the circuitry in the device. I think traditional UPS devices are pretty bulletproof and built for 24/7 operation. Not sure how an Ecoflow or Bluetti would hold up for that use?

This would work for a PS, but not UPS. They don't have the response time to be Uninterruptible is what I've heard.
