I have these exact C&L Authentic shoes - the glue holding the rubber to the canvas started failing within a few months of use. They're still wearable, but not the quality I've been used to in the past with this line.

with faux laces these days, it's hard to tell which shoes are truly "lace-up" and which are slip-ons.

The last pair of Vans I owned had the exact same problem. I barely wore it and the midsole detached after a few months. It shouldn't be that expensive to use a good quality glue. I'm wary of buying Vans again.
