I feel like a steam game hoarder. I need to win the lottery at this point to ever have the time to get through these games.

Kingmaker is a solid CRPG, especially if you like the D&D ruleset. Not everyone likes the kingdom management aspect, but that's personal preference. Mortismal Gaming has a lot of videos reviewing this game and comparing it to the next game, Wrath of the Righteous. OwlCat is becoming one of my favorite publishers.

It's a good game if you're a fan of Baldurs Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale, Divinity Original Sin, etc. I highly recommend Kingmaker and especially it's sequel Wrath of the Righteous. (WOTR also has a bunch of different split paths like BG3 has as well, so has good replayability)

Yes, very fun. The kingdom management elements are challenging

Yes - I'm a big fan of Forgotten Realms type games, and I just couldn't get into this one the same way. I don't enjoy the management aspect of it (which you can essentially turn off and ignore, BTW). The enemy strength is adjustable so you can make battles as easy or difficult as you like. I found the interface a bit clunky and following quests was not as straightforward as I would like.

It's a pretty polished game, but like I said - it didn't hit the same target for me as old Baldur's Gate/Icwind Dale/etc.

Pillars of Eternity and Divinity: Original Sin were games I enjoyed much more.

Great game and the best way to play Owlcat games...after years of patching and then dirt cheap.

It's a great game for those that like old school RPGs, like Baldur's Gate. It's long, it can be unforgiving (I had numerous battles where I had to reload a save), and some of the mechanics can be complex, so it does require some investment from a player to enjoy. My suggestion would be to use mods to customize the game to your personal preference. The Nexus Mods site has lots of options to choose from on that front.

I want to like CRPG but DoS2 feels pretty lackluster so far up to Act 2 honestly. It's missing some oomph in the game. Has a lot of options but things feel flat is the word I would describe it as. I want to play it but you burn out after an hr and realized half the time you're managing inventory. Lot of busy work and combat so far very straight forward on classic difficultly. Game feels unpolished with annoying bugs still in there. Having said that, will BG3 be better?

Edit: I'm back playing DoS2. Sometimes it feels slow but you just gotta take a break from it when it does.

I never said I would spend all my time, but not having to worry about a 40+ hr a week job to make it would definitely free up some better game playing time.

Gotta do something to pass the time while flying on his private jet to all those worldly destinations.
