I bought these. Tip broke off needle nose. Took it to Lowes to swap it under lifetime guarantee and they said warranty does not apply to this set.
Says right on package Lifetime hassle free guarantee- so may want to make another run at it🤷 ♂️
Ask for a manager and if that gets you nowhere call Corp 1-800-445-6937

With sets like this they might require you to bring in the WHOLE set so be prepared

Webpage says warranty is "Limited lifetime." What does that actually mean?

I have found that it pays to be friendly and not act entitled and angry when trying for warranty replacement at big box stores. Just a tip for those who may ever need to do warranty replacement at big box stores. Management is authorized to deny legitimate warranty claims at all big box stores if the customer can be described as "unruly" or "unreasonable". The customer is always right bullshit does not exist in competitive markets anymore where retaining employees is more critical than retaining problem customers.

Good price if you don't have any of these yet, but if you are like me and run a fleet of techs, its better to buy individual tools as they go "missing"

I have their adjustable one and it's not the best quality, they either lock or not lock and doesn't make much sense how they operate honestly. I just use them as wrenches when I need to get hose off the sprayer or the spigot, just normal stuff, but don't expect high quality, good grip, etc. They will be OK in a pinch but I wish they came in a case or storage so you would know what you are missing and have a place holder to put them back when you are done. After misplacing a lot of tools, I am done buying "loose" tool sets. No, wall hangers or pegboards are useless, when you don't know what you are missing, you just see an empty slot, and you fill it with something else. Then you go one day "Didn't I have that plier..." and you just buy another set, and only to find it under a plywood or some random item.

They do have a lifetime no hassle guarantee. Customer service agents are a crap shoot and main point of failure, i never know what I'm going to get when doing a replacement but i do know I'm walking out with a new tool if it's covered under Kobalt's warranty. Just ask for a ASM.

Not trying to be rude, but frequently misplacing tools sounds like a you problem. I have the SD issue of having way more tools than I need, but I rarely lose a tool, even for a short time.

Totally agree with you, these stores need to change the wording to "Lifetime of the tool warranty...with a free hassle if taken to the store." Tool only under warranty while it's not broken and might require annoyances like bringing the entire set of tools into the store for replacement. Because their warranty is limited so you know, that's the deal. If you don't mind fighting someone and speaking to a manager and wasting an hour of your day sure it's great. Yes...been there done that. It seems like no one can make a decision, or at least the right decision and I've had managers be wrong on their own policies because they were ignorant of them because companies have poor training because there's little value in it when the person is going to quit in 6 months to a year. I've had good luck with Lowe's when replacing a tool a couple of times but it was a Craftsman. I've never tried warrantying any Kobalt tools yet. At least there's a chance at a warranty though, I guess right? I've bought a handful over the last few years but they are mostly just back-up tools for on the road, or for my work vehicle.

Bro... I'm not here to be their therapist. If they work for a company that sells products with lifetime warranties, then give me my replacement and go save the planet in a different way.
