I've returned several broken Kobalt tools to Lowe's. Hence the lifetime guarantee.

Not quite sure why you would throw all the tools away when you could have gone to a different Lowe's.

I do own this set and it's fine for homeowner use. Bought it several years ago.

Two of these broke when I just applied a little force while working in my home, they were almost brand new....took them to Lowes.. it was broken so lowes said they cannot exchange them ...threw the entire pack in Lowes trash can... Poor Quality

that's a good caveat about having purchased several years ago. a very common corporate green trend is to build a good name with a product knowing that you're going to drop the quality and still sell a bunch of them based on the good name that was achieved early on, but us consumers are the ones that ultimately pay the price for it, as always.
