Total by Verizon is probably the worst Telco I've ever dealt with. They never honored the deal I signed up for, I had major dramas just porting my number in, their support is worse than helpless and will typically just hang up on you, etc. Avoid this company like the plague.

In reality, NO, they cannot. So in your mind you might be thinking, let me try and see if I can port in from, let's say "AT&T" and take advantage of this $15.00/mo deal by just using the promo code: BYEBYETMO or whatever promo code they're pimping to get customers in on the $15/mo special offer. Once you use that code and port in your number, it's a sold, done deal! You've now got yourself a 5 year $15/mo cell phone plan with Unlimited data.

The drop down that asks what company you are porting in from is for marketing/data purposes only and has no bearing on them knowing what company your phone number or account number belong to. The WLNP or Porting system is a national system that will automatically route the request to the losing carrier. Verizon, Visible or Total or any carrier will have no way of knowing that, until they receive the data/report that they will run off of the WLNP port system for their board meetings or press releases that they can brag about. By that time, it'll to way past the end date of the promo and they're really not going to snatch you off the plan, because it'll be a nightmare!
Verizon finally is no longer sitting back watching the small time player beat up on their big team. They will definitely be taking a lot of cost conscious customers back that they lost over the past few years with this one. Holiday season is right around the corner, too.
I suspect that that once they hit a home run with this one, they'll launch a new promo to get the $15 customers to bump up by $5 or so to the next tier, Just like T-Mobile did when they started uncarrier.

Best to wait it out if you really want the deal.

You've already filed with the FCC so let it play out. Check under your account to see if the tickets were created. They are listed under "My Support" when you log in via the web browser.
Thank you. I just checked. I see 2 tickets

1) Replacement service plan - Status: Closed
- this was created the day I activated. This did it for me! The rep created a new plan messing up the promo. Totally their fault!

2) FCC complaint - Status: Open

It is safe to say if you have a ticket named "Replacement Service Plan " you most likely lost your promo unless they opened a new ticket to fix their mess

Thanks - you were right - I got an error when trying to delete the non-existent device - something about it not being on the network.

My renewal charge is not correct - four lines should be 60 but they are charging 67 and change due to "tax based on the zip code of my credit card." I'm hoping I don't have to hit up support to fix stuff - all the plans say they are "tax included" but I do have a bogus fifth device with "plan in reserve..."

Dan
It might just be a pro-rating effect if one or more will be active for slightly over a month.

Otherwise, could one or more lines have been put on no promo or a different promo?

I had the same "replacement service plan" ticket opened when I had disney missing from my plan.

I've had three "TW BYOD 50 PERCENT OFF" tickets opened and closed, all stating that it will reflect by my next recharge date, which is still 3 weeks away.

The FCC ticket was opened after filing and receiving a call back from tracfone in regards.

My promo is still not reflecting, but the service is working really great for me.

I did auto-refill but the points took a few days to reflect accordingly.

Actually, after double checking, I am not seeing 250pts added for auto-refill... Maybe they will post after the auto-refill debits on the next recharge date?

That sounds reasonable. May I ask what time you activated auto-refill? I notice that the website sometimes isn't working properly during the night. I activated it around 10:30 PM Eastern Time. Also, you activated auto-refill after joining the rewards program, right? Thanks!

Is it the Disney+ Premium (No Ads) for 6 months ? or the one with ads.

Nevermind, got it. It's premium for 6 months and was easy to setup. Great free perk.

Nice! So if you have 2 lines, do you get 6 months each, total 12 months?

"One offer per eligible account." Please correct me if this is wrong.

I was very careful with my activation of the promo code - although the path through the eSIM steps was much flakier than the initial order of two pSIMS activated on 9/20. The two eSIM lines came over on 9/30. I abandoned the first purchase in the cart because I realized I had never been prompted for porting information.

Auto refill is going to hit on 10/18 if I activate it - for an extra seven dollars it would be worth the experiment of paying too much and not spending time with CS and trouble tickets. I have a couple of weeks to monitor and decide. Overall, I had an easier time than many.

I think they got killed with an SD effect once this thing went Front Page - not sure why it took so long to make it there...

Agreed. I think you will be able to get the $7 credited after the fact if needed too, in fact more easily than it would be now.

I activated auto-refill sometime during the day, a few days after activation. Joined rewards first, then did the auto-refill afterwards.
