How do you survive without the arrow keys? I have a V3 Max and couldn't imagine going any smaller.

Not everyone is like you. There are some folks that prefer 60%, 65%, 80%, and then there are some, like you, that prefers the full size. It's the different strokes for different folks.

I have a Keychron Q60 and can vouch for the quality of the Q series. It's well built, heavy, and has a lot of things that you don't usually see in mainstream-adjacent boards like gasket mounting. It can be remapped with the open source tool VIA too, no crappy proprietary software required.

I'm a huge keychron fan but I wouldn't even consider wired when the wireless options they have are so worth the extra cost (which isn't that much).

I have capslock rebound in VIA so that when its held down it enables the first FN layer, where WASD becomes the arrow keys.

Its incredibly intuitive and ends up being quicker for me to use over conventional arrow keys.

Decent price but at $80 for aluminum and wires you start getting into competition. Stuff like the Womier SK71/75, Feker Galaxy80, Yunzii AL71, are aluminum and wireless.

I assume this is a good deal for the uninformed, but there are a wealth of other options if you go looking that may or may not fit you better.
All those keyboards you listed are great, but I disagree that they are that much better than a Keychron if you don't need wireless.

Those keyboards are all slightly more than $80 right now as well. The $20-30 difference IMO is about the premium you should pay for wireless.

Now I would agree if we are talking about Keychron at MSRP though. Totally not worth it.

Yeah, the prices are high right now. They used to be $80, just like how the Keychron was high when those were discounted.

I'm just saying that if you wait for a sale on those you can get them for the same price as the Keychron on sale. They aren't a good option for some people on SD since full-size is rare.

The point is that there are a lot of wireless aluminum options at this price, not just the ones I mentioned.

Worth the extra cost if you want wireless, but I can't see it coming in handy for my needs, since the keyboard stays where it's at. Wireless mouse on the other hand...

Pretty solid deal. I do agree that you can find "better" deals with some of the smaller brand aluminum keyboards (Womier, Yunzii, Epomaker), but most of the software on those are pretty sketchy, and the fit/finish are not as high quality as Keychron. Although the "doubleshot PBT keycaps" on these Keychron boards are pretty bad (you would be better off with a $20-30 Amazon set). Bottomline- for $70-$80, (if you don't mind a wired keyboard) these Keychron boards are great.

If only Steve Jobs was alive, we would have had keyboards this size and be happy.

The double shot PBT keycaps on the Keychron Q Series are fine for 99% of people.

They're not the thickest and the legends are not perfect, but if you want GMK or PBTfans quality then those keycaps will be more expensive than this whole Keychron Q Series Keyboard in itself. A $30 Amazon set will have the same issues as these Keychron keycaps, namely poor legend consistency and thinner keycaps.

Shoot how do any of you survive without the number pad?! Lol tbf if mine was for gaming, I wouldn't want the full ensemble.
What do you use the number pad for? Outside of people who work heavily with spreadsheets, it's not worth the ergonomic downsides. You can also get a separate number pad for not a lot of money that you tuck away and pull out only when you need it.

I customized my work keyboard. I'm so used to a number pad that I use it even when it's probably less efficient. I use numbers a lot in order entry and spreadsheets a close second. So for me it's absolutely legit. Plus, I'm old enough to remember games using the number pad too

I found out about the Keychron sale too late to get another Q6 (my fav keyboard), so I grabbed one of these. Never had a tkl, so we will see. Either way my son is getting one now since we will have 2 lol

Was considering the Q7, but it sold out.
Potential considering settling for Q2, but Also preferred the red switches over the blues. Should I just wait for the next sale of these to drop on woot? Seems to happen every couple months from what I've seen so far

Absolutely incorrect. The Keychron keycaps on these boards are total crap. Believe me, I own a Q6, Q1, Q5, and a Q2. The legends are bad, they are extremely thin, and some of the colors show oil / shine with a very small amount of use. I am not saying you need to get a set of GMK or PBT Fans caps to put on these (even though GMK / MT3 sets were BOGO just a couple of weeks ago, bringing the price down under $50/set). I am saying grab yourself a highly rated THICK dye-sub or double shot set from Amazon (do a little research, there are plenty of highly rated and recommended sets out there). WAY better quality, sound, feel, and they are very inexpensive.

The smaller ones like this actually work awesome with the Microsoft Surface and other similar devices.
