Since this just the enlarged version of V11 - my advice is to stay clear. The V11 triggers have a habit of breaking down just after warranty period. Happened to me as well and Dyson wanted to sell me the whole main body(no battery, no filter, no bin) for $200. The problem was so widespread with all their trigger vacuums that they changed their newer models to have on/off button instead.

Is the newer "Outsize Plus" still the same thing as the "V11 Outsize", or did they make additional changes beyond the name change?

At a glance, the V11 Outsize came with an extra battery, but this Outsize Plus does not. You'd have to buy the "Gen5Outsize Absolute" to get the extra battery.

FWIW I've had the V11 Outsize for ~4 years and haven't had trouble with the trigger yet.

Sold my V6 Fluffy for $80 and got a Tineco Pure OneS12 PRO EX deals from here on SD through eBay. At the $100 price is so much better in every way. It has multiple Hepa filtrations so no nasty smell being ejected into the air. Removable batteries so one can be charging or when you run out of juice you just stick the other battery in. Such a nice selection of accessories. Its far superior. Quieter, has a self cleaning attachment/mode that works amazing. I would put in a deal alert for that instead and you will like it much more. I bought ebay refurbished and got a brand new one never used. It had a sign on the box it was a customer return where another shipper had plastic sleeve on the box that was a bit roughed up. It has everything you could imagine. The flexible hose you can attach then put other accessories on the end of it. Better cleaning with far less effort. I wont buy another Dyson again. Absurd design choices for things that are so expensive. I will buy another one of these in the future when this one is dead. Even if its full cost.

I recently got the V11 Outsize Absolute plus from eBay refurb with 2 year warranty for $280. I had a call with them since it didn't include some parts listed in the description and also didn't come with an extra battery. I was told that the Gen5 Outsize is the ONLY "Outsize" now a days that comes with extra battery. They have changed/updated their inventory accordingly.

This is late but I just received mine from EBay and it came with an extra battery and a charging cable. It was a bit dusty so I wonder if they only have the older stock left that comes with an extra battery.
