Am I the only one who thinks that WiFi oscillating fans shouldn't exist? Guarantee my oscillating fan from 10 years ago outlasts a brand new fan with WiFi by a mile

There is no relation between fan speed and wifi feature.

Every year near the end of summer these eventually drop down to $20-25. It's the same brand tower fan but a different styling and somehow they manage to make it worse at circulating air with each iteration

I bought a Lasko for around the same price, $33, on an Amazon deal listed here a few years ago. The reviews were good, including from Slickdeals users on that post, and yes, that Lasko is incredible. It looks exactly like this one, is almost silent, and blows cool air. Even without oscillation, it directs air at a fixed angle that reaches several feet, cooling my entire bed. The air spreads out enough to keep me cool without needing oscillation. The remote control feels sturdy and impressive, and it has worked flawlessly with the same batteries for years. (I dont understand the wifi feature with this. What good would a wifi be?)
