4080 at 1400? Lol

The 4080 is 900$+ alone.

So, you're telling me let's have them just give it to you for free?

Received my PC yesterday. Motherboard, in this one at least, is MSI PRO Z790-VC WIFI w/ MSI 4070 and 32gb ram. Applying the bios patch, so we'll see how it goes.

Mine came in as well with an Asus z790 Gaming motherboard and PNY 4070. Ran a Userbenchmark and it says i'm in the top10% performance for my setup.

Unbox and setup has been simple and straightforward and all the updates seem to be done including the latest bios (though may have installed when it first loaded windows). So far so good...

So yours has the 0x129 BIOS update? I read from Intels Reddit page that this wouldn't go thru the typical windows system update, but directly thru bios settings. So probably it arrived pre-installed?

Regardless, how has the CPU been performing under load? I'm expecting my order on Tuesday but kind of nervous with all this instability discussions online.

Thanks for sharing. Curious to know how your unit is doing. Did you run some benchmarks before and/or after the BIOS update? Any issues after the update?

A common sentiment online is "iBuyPower = iBuyProblems"
I guess your not in for one then! Don't forget to post links to the IBuyProblems posts since that is not what I learned prepurchase from my own research. Pray tell!
Can't wait to read your links. Unless you made it up!

Stability has been rock solid so far. No BSOD or slow downs yet. Only complaint is the fans are louder than I'd like, but perfectly acceptable and I haven't tried to tweak them yet.

Glad to hear, thanks! That's with the 0x129 patch? Any noticeable drop in performance/capability? Someone told me the Intel patch is basically underclocking the CPUs which I hope isn't truly the case. If the CPU can run at recommended Intel settings then I'll be happy with that.

I purchased the Allstate 3-yr protection plan for a bit of peace of mind as well. I rather go thru them than IBUYPOWER if I encounter issues down the line. Been pretty pleased with their services in the past.

I ran the patch soon after setting up, but here are the benchmark results afterward. It detected that XMP wasn't enabled for the RAM, so doing that now. Everything else is running great.

UserBenchmarks: Game 254%, Desk 126%, Work 337%
CPU: Intel Core i9-14900KF - 129.6%
GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070 - 201.7%
SSD: Kingston SNV2S2000G 2TB - 369.4%
RAM: Team Group Inc UD5-5600 2x16GB - 160.5%
MBD: MSI PRO Z790-VC WIFI (MS-7D33)

That mobo should have USC 3.2 2x2. Can you confirm? Does it have any 3.2 on the front or just off the mobo in the back?

That's pretty damn solid, thanks! This makes me feel more at ease if that's after the 0x129 patch. How are the render speeds? Also, any temperature and voltage readings ?

Ran Cinebench 2024 and Geekbench 6, almost all scores came out lower than comparisons. Haven't done any tweaking/overclocking so not sure if that's the reason? It's been a long time since I've been in the PC world.

Cinebench: GPU 16963 pts, CPU multi core 2024 pts, single core 133 pts
Geekbench: GPU 170463, CPU multi core 19467, single core 3131

MSI Center is showing CPU core temp around 35° C and voltage hovering around 1.2.
