It's been a while since the last holiday season.

The release of College Football 25 has driven up console sales in July and Aug. Its inclusion on Game Pass is speculated to have increased sales of the xbox s. PS5 went up about 25% YOY, xbox x/s is up 48% YOY.

For that matter, it is normal for college kids moving into their dorms to drive up sales in a lot of home goods, laptops, and inexpensive / low end electronics related to entertainment, etc. Generally the parents are not willing to splurge and the kids want their stuff when they move in or shortly after and can't / won't wait until the next sale are depleting the used market

The manager at the one I went to only offered $155. Said the cosmetic condition. I said it works. He wouldn't budge, so left. Will try another.

They had an amazing trade-in deal for the X a couple of months ago where they were giving $357.50 in cash (the same as the usual store credit for it).

Was considering trading-in my X for the PS5 but Gamepass and better back catalogue.

You definitely won't get the bonus credit. You will also lose either the max trade credit value of the controller or the cost of buying a GameStop branded controller that they'll include when they sell the system.

Updated and reset my Xbox. Went in and they said the WiFi isn't working. I'm sitting in front of it at home with it connected to my home WiFi. I'll go to another location later.

Was thinking the same thing. The Series X value went down ~$30 today and I was going to go trade it in (was waiting on the College Football 25 patch to see if it fixed my game - dynasty mode doesn't work) and replace it.

Anyone know how regularly the trade in values change? I figure they may drop more soon with the updated consoles coming in October

Went to second store. Same thing. Said it was considered defective. There was a small ding to the corner of the case where it bumped something. No cracks, just slight little dent in the corner. Lame. I took it anyhow and got the Older One S because I hated the diskless system.
