Just a PSA about this and other 13-14 gen CPUs, Intel has admitted that there are instability issues in some processors due to elevated voltage use in some use cases.

This can damage the CPU irreparably, so please update your motherboard's BIOS that have the new microcode and keep an eye out for your systems. This one does also run hot as expected so be sure to get a very good cooling solution.

The price has to go below $500 to be considered a slick deal. To all potential buyers, do your research first. There are enough relevant info to prevent the problems in the first place. And IMHO, never buy these 2nd hand.

Yeah. The possibility that there could even be some minor damage to the processor before you could even update the bios is a bit scary. Not likely to damage it enough to cause problems but still the idea of damaging your brand new processor before you can even get it setup to prevent further damage isn't great. Ideally you'd have a motherboard with a flashback type emergency bios flashing that can run even without a processor installed.

For gaming, get the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which remains the best gaming CPU on the planet, and which costs less than $400—been as low as $300, and even less as part of a bundle.
