Technically it is still Apple Silicon; it's just that the A-series is geared toward mobile while the more powerful and capable M-series is for personal computers.

That said, if anyone's looking to use this iPad for more than media consumption and basic computing, I would also rather get an M1 or above for future-proofing.

Realistically, in your opinion, how much longer, will this 9th Generation iPad be able to be used, for those simple types of tasks? Another 6 months to a year? 2 years? 3 years?
