This monitor has some downsides but it would be hard to find something else that gets as bright as it does around this price point. Some don't need high brightness and would benefit more from a faster response time/refresh rate. That being said this monitor also has much better contrast and color coverage than many other monitors around this price. It really depends on what you value.

I didn't realize rtings reviewed this but they're my go to

If you can find the AOC Q27G3XMN around this price it should be a slightly better option and go with that one.

Thanks for the help. I found this one for 177? This the one you are referring to?

Yeah, I found it thanks. I thought about this one from dell too. They usually put out a 10 percent off coupon code.

They are completely different panel types. The AOC gets much brighter, and has more contrast. The Dell panel is good, but cheaper for a reason.

Yeah, makes sense. Thanks for all the help. I'll post the one you were talking about in case anyone else is interested. Do you know the difference between the one I posted a link of above and the one below?

For 200$ this is a decent deal really but it has blur issues in games like tarkov. Pass for me but for slower pace games would be hard to beat.

The cheaper monitor lacks miniLED.

To your original post, this is a good deal for this combination of tech. There's better values in the 1440p space if you're not looking for the high brightness of miniLED and/or require other features.

I'd say as long as you're aware of the pros and cons for panel type (OLED vs LED, and LED further breaks down to TN vs VA vs IPS) and backlight tech (direct lit vs edge lit vs full array local dimming, and full array breaks down into QLED vs miniLED vs the upcoming microLED) then watch some YouTube videos on which monitors are considered the best currently for the use case (gaming, productivity, professional editing, being a mac user, etc) then you'll have a better idea of what price range each type of monitor will fall in to and which is ideal for your use case. You'll also probably have an easier time skimming rtings reviews.

Dell is a rip off! They simply will not honor their warranty! It's been 6 weeks now and mine is still not fixed! This is with phone support, an onsite service visit and now Dell depot service!!!

Sorry you are having a bad experience. I never have for business or consumer line products as long as it wasn't user error/physical damage. 😢

Type of panel is more important for most people than "99% Adobe RGB". Useless title.

I hate the black "smearing" of all the VA panels I've tried, would that negative quality also apply to this one?

I have this dell monitor and love it! Seems these monitors have really dropped in price these days!
