Luminox watches are crap. Luminox customer service is the worst. Bought one about six months ago, around $200 on sale. The case basically spontaneously cracked while I was swimming. Seriously, cracked in the absence of trauma and the band would not attach. You have to send the watch to a jeweler in Rhode Island who will do nothing. There are many reviews on the internet about how inferior Luminox is. Zero customer service from Luminox. AVOID LUMINOX LIKE THE PLAGUE!

If you want a solidly built watch get a G Shock. I've got three of those and they are built like tanks, never had a problem with a G Shock.
