I don't hate The Acolyte, it's a total train wreck but laughable ride that I loved it so much to follow and watch all episodes to see the final unfixable wreckage.

It has nothing to do with casts but the non-sense flipflopping character development, lore-destroying scripts, episodes dragging directing and whoever signed off the show. The show could probably done in 90 minutes without all the filler and dragging, and give less time for audience to think how dumb everything it is. I don't even know the casts and director, other than Jedi Trinity and Squid Game, until episode 3. I had to look up who these genius that single-handly made a show to destroy the High Republic era.

Reviews for this game are horrendous. Be aware that you're buying a glitchy game with poor game play and a very ugly main character.
Sad that all those people voted down your comment. I played it and you are spot on. Plus, a lot of the reviews say the same thing. Super trash.

A digital scrap of tattered cloth. For free! Don't say Ubisoft never did anything for you.

If you had seen the actress they modeled the character after, versus Ashley Birch as Aloy from the Horizon games or even Julia Voth from Resident Evil 1 Remake, the comment would make more sense. But to each your own.
Are you saying Horizon didn't get backlash for how Aloy looked?

Lol, all of the Acolyte haters have now moved on to this game.

My reality in playing this game thus far is that it IS fun. Haven't seen any of the "glitchiness" someone whined about earlier. Nor do I really care what the main character looks like.

My only complaint is that the textures do look a bit dated at times, but that's not enough for me to whine about it.

As a life long SW fan of 40 plus years, I couldn't agree more. I went in with a total open mind and let's just say I was beyond disappointed. Who greenlights this stuff? Meanwhile Disney just lost another 20 billion in market capital. And nobody fired still? It's gotten ridiculous at this point. Everyone, including the ceo should be gone asap.

thank God I'm not an investor in this train wreck of a company. my god...

It has like a 75 critic score on Metacritic. That's considered bad now? Hard to trust user reviews when people love to review bomb games without playing them.
I don't know about other people but in my busy life, I don't have time to mess around with games scoring under 80.

75 is also considered bad if you just scroll through list of games that are above 80 in 2024 alone. Ever heard of Mullet MadJack? What the hell is even that? But it scored 88.

I got this game for my Xbox. It's not horrendous. Just needs some minor tweaks which I'm sure will get implemented. It's a solid 7/10 game for me. For $40, totally worth picking up if you're a SW fan.

If you believe that is a fair rating for it, then you're really going to be disappointed when you actually play this mess. Most of the Star Wars games I usually finish within a week of release. This one I don't even think I want to continue playing. But hey, maybe it's your cup of tea. I know a lot of people didn't like games like Golem, but there were those few who defended it. Maybe this is your "Golem" game moment, but instead it's Star Wars Outlaws.

They paid for those reviews and it's still only a 7.

šŸ˜† 🤣 Most of those critics are paid corporate shills. The general consensus of the gaming/movie community has 1000x more value.

Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't make it bad.. Busy life? Yet, you're here making up nonsense. Good job!
