It's a $2400 piano. It's very nice. Sounds are typical Yamaha, more mellow compared to Roland. Top notch cabinet. Better than what Roland makes. You can't go wrong with this especially at this price. Unlike most electronics, a digital piano is pretty much future proof. Honestly the tech in digital pianos isn't going to get much better than it already is.

A good deal . If all you want to do is play piano this is a great option. I don't believe this one has Bluetooth , which allows you to play along with songs from your phone or other device with Bluetooth capabilities.

It has legacy MIDI in/out/thru that is pretty rare today and USB MIDI. Has AUX audio so you can just connect a cheap BT adapter to that if you want to use the Piano's speakers to play along to music from your phone.

Another interesting thing I noticed from the spec is that you can reassign the pedal function. You can control the "Leslie speaker" of the organ sounds with the pedals. That's awesome actually. Look it up.

About time yamaha should update this model to ydp-185. Solid piano, but outdated "bells and whistles". Other models already in ydp-xx5 in same series.
