Project farm did a Blackstone oil analysis and testing on many different oil brands including Kirkland and Supertech. His conclusion was Kirkland and Supertech are basically the same oil and as good as the big boy brands.

But remember to have it in a refillable container or something approved for oil since they won't take contaminated oil and they give you back the container, they won't dispose of it for you.

Yeah, no kidding…all these 0/5 and 15/16/20 weight ranges are getting crazy. Manufacturers have slowly been shifting more cost and complexity to consumers for years, usually through a very complex system to game the EPA numbers. Oil is a small part of that, too.

Maintenance book in some of these newer vehicles for 0w15/16 says u can use 20 weight but change interval drops from 10k to 5k, defeating the purpose for most people.

Toyota uses a variable speed oil pump to save energy on some models. You mustn't change oil grade on these engines. Car Care Nut on YouTube explains this in detail. Manual warns you as well.

DON'T forget to bring your old oil filter too, when dropping off the old motor oil.
Pretty much MOST of the big chain autoparts stores (O'riley, AutoZone, Advance AutoParts) and big chain service centers (PepBoys, Firestone, ...), take old motor oil and oil filter.

Depending on the State you live, even dealerships may be required to take uncontaminated motor oil and oil filters. You can always call the dealership to verify.
Your City/County may also have a periodic household hazzardous waste pick-up event. You can bring old pain, batteries, motor oil, oil filter, ... to these events.

Check with your curbside trash or recycling hauler. Many will pick up used oil in a sealed jug and used filter in a sealed bag if left near trash cart on trash night.
