if it WERE to scale and we assume the Earth has a 1-inch radius on this model, the sun would have to be 18-feet wide and located something like 1950 feet away. That's a lot of Lego.

If I owned this, the set would annoy me every time I look at it due to the totally inaccurate printing of the earth. Last I checked, the equator does not pass through Mexico or northern Africa. Its like they enlarged everything in the northern hemisphere and shrunk everything in the southern hemisphere for some reason.
