I've had the OP12 since February and it has been great. However there has been a noticeable lag when switching between some apps, giving a solid 2 second pause before being able to interact/scroll. This was introduced in a software update earlier this year and still hasn't been fixed even though there have been 2 or 3 software updates since the bug was introduced.

OnePlus 13 is rumored to be announced in November. Unless you need this right now, I'd just wait for that announcement as prices will go down more after the announcement. Also, with the iPhone 16 and Samsung 25 series announcements coming up in Sept and Jan respectively, this may not be the best time to buy a new phone unless you are getting an amazing deal.

It's an awesome deal. I actually prefer using the OnePlus 12 over my S24 Ultra because the battery lasts much longer. An equivalent S24 Ultra 512GB and Buds Pro 3 would be quite a bit more $.

I just picked up the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro as well and they are very similar to the Galaxy Buds Pro 3 in SQ and features.

OnePlus trade-ins aren't usually as giving as Samsung's though, so keep that in mind for future upgrades.

sell apple stuff, end up buying it back later on smh,

This charges faster and comes with free buds. This is probably the better deal if you're not already in the Samsung ecosystem. If you have a Samsung watch or tablet it's probably better to get Samsung. I got a pixel 8a with a Samsung buds 2 and Galaxy watch 5 pro everything sync due to the wear spp for Android but I don't get the watch battery percentage on the pixel since it's not Samsung. Also no quick drop or share or whatever Samsung calls it. If you don't care about that stuff this is probably a better deal.

What would be a fair price expectation for selling the buds?

I tried to get them to just replace the ear buds for free so I didn't have to go through the hassle of returning. They said they still want me to return the phone and reorder with buds 3

I got the s24+ because I don't like switching phones and it 7 years of security updates to 4 years. 4 years is great though. I also have buds already.
So if you want the buds, I think the OnePlus is a better deal. If not, you can save like $50 if you get all the discounts with the s24+.

Samsung phones also have much better trade in values, so you will end up saving much more than $50 whenever you do end up upgrading.

Anyone know if the "Trade in Any device, Any Condition ($100)" will be there for long. The contract for my phone is up early next year. And I plan on switching to Google Fi and then get 12R/13R. I have a busted old iPhone 6 laying around and thinking out getting rid of it. Getting 13R next year w/ this trade in would be ideal.
