I've had the OP12 since February and it has been great. However there has been a noticeable lag when switching between some apps, giving a solid 2 second pause before being able to interact/scroll. This was introduced in a software update earlier this year and still hasn't been fixed even though there have been 2 or 3 software updates since the bug was introduced.

OnePlus 13 is rumored to be announced in November. Unless you need this right now, I'd just wait for that announcement as prices will go down more after the announcement. Also, with the iPhone 16 and Samsung 25 series announcements coming up in Sept and Jan respectively, this may not be the best time to buy a new phone unless you are getting an amazing deal.

You may want to change the title, doesnt show model and can be confused with Oneplus 16 wich doesnt exist

I got the s24+ because I don't like switching phones and it 7 years of security updates to 4 years. 4 years is great though.
To me, the benefit of OnePlus over Samsung is that it's more open and even after OnePlus stop updating it, you can easily switch to LineageOS. I know it's a different point of view, but it is something to consider as well.

Anyone know if the "Trade in Any device, Any Condition ($100)" will be there for long. The contract for my phone is up early next year. And I plan on switching to Google Fi and then get 12R/13R. I have a busted old iPhone 6 laying around and thinking out getting rid of it. Getting 13R next year w/ this trade in would be ideal.
You don't return the any device any condition trade in to OnePlus. They just direct you to a company that will take your device to recycle.

It's an awesome deal. I actually prefer using the OnePlus 12 over my S24 Ultra because the battery lasts much longer. An equivalent S24 Ultra 512GB and Buds Pro 3 would be quite a bit more $.

I just picked up the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro as well and they are very similar to the Galaxy Buds Pro 3 in SQ and features.

OnePlus trade-ins aren't usually as giving as Samsung's though, so keep that in mind for future upgrades.
Doss it perform the same as the S24 ultra?

Got some much crap I don't know what to sell. Pixel 8a is a nice but kinda small, might want a bigger screen for reading, aple watch ultra no damn iPhone, iPhone is meh but the watch is really nice, crappy slow watch 5 pro, a bud of crap, gear buds pro 2, air-pods pro 2, all over the place.
sell apple stuff, end up buying it back later on smh,

BTW this is a great deal
Agreed, the whole phone market is a mess. If you are in to sound quality, then you will want to sell your Apple stuff again. They don't support any decent audio codecs, so no sense in getting any decent buds/headphones with it.

I went from the Samsung Note 20 Ultra to the S24 Ultra 1TB(because they removed the micro SD card) and all I can say is I really miss the Note 20U, it was better in every way for me, except for the curved screen, that wasn't my favorite. So, I'm in the same boat as many. Looking for a decent phone.

Better, less bloat. Think Pixel but higher end specs. Notification slider and warp charge are huge also.

Fwiw I've had the OP12 since launch and it's excellent. The camera is very underrated, I've ended up being designated the unofficial photographer for a bunch of events amid a sea of iPhones when we compare photos. Also I really can't emphasize how amazing the battery experience is. I routinely get 8-10 hours of screen on time before I need to charge. And then the charging speed is crazy. 0-100 in less than 30 mins. Because the battery charges so fast and lasts so long instead of battery anxiety I have battery peace.

Also listening to buds pro 3 currently. They're really good, don't update the buds firmware though, I heard the presets get jacked, and the dynaudio dynamic preset is too good. Very happy camper, and good deal here fam. Only thing this phone doesn't do is AI. If that's a big deal to you don't get this phone.

That curved screen is one reason I'm waiting for 13/13R instead of current 12/12R. I doubt anything else will be much of an upgrade between the two.

s24 ultra doesn't have the curved screen, maybe you mean s23 ultra which is also quite nice.

I only love the apple watch ultra it's literally a tank and it's durable and I banged it up and still no scratches, I don't trust the pixel watch it looks soft and fragile and right now too expensive. A samsung is probably the best option but I don't want to sell the ultra watch since I love it and airpod pros look great as a fashion statement except I can only hear in one ear and wear ugly hearing aids, I'm seriously all over the place.

Rather have 6k battery and 8gen4, with OP13. Not buying the 12.

OnePlus is done as a brand. If you're going to spend over $500 on a phone make it a Samsung or Pixel.
Says who? Have any claims to back that up. Or just all talk.
