I have used this in several pieces of furniture both refurbished and new ones o have made and this works pretty well.

I will say that I used the Satin but it goes on smooth and polishes up nice. I did use 2 coats but still looks good after 5 years.

That was on a living room coffee table I made for my daughter. She has 3 kids and they use it as a racetrack, or anything else they can think of. Still looks good.

What makes it one coat? Is it thicker like a gel?

Stupid question: If I use semi gloss on gloss paint I get what type of finish? I presume semi gloss but I want to ask to be sure

I haven't used this, but just read does of reviews from the big blue box store for home improvement and they average out to only 3.6. The reviews must have been so bad that they are pulling it from shelves--it's no longer sold there. Many, many one star reviews from people who say it's too thick and doesn't self-level and then dries too fast. I was looking at the Minwax regular water-based poly when I saw this deal, but I guess I'm going to skip this now and still buy the regular water-based poly for 2.5x the price (and since it requires more coats, it's actually a LOT more expensive).

For interior use. But this is a good price if you need polyurethane for interior projects.

FYI, it's best to do at least 2 coats with this "one coat" stuff

I use this stuff regularly. It works very well, but is thicker application and may not be the best coating for all projects. Mostly I'd say use it for table tops or other items that receive heavy wear. For all the people leaving poor reviews, you really need to understand fine technique to get a professional finish. My suggestion is to apply a couple of thin coats, sanding in-between each coat with a high grit paper, then finish with a spray (poly in a spray can) to get a near perfect, smooth surface. If not, you'll have bumps or brush lines.

Also to note, this is water based, so easy cleanup.

Can this be used on resurfaced hardwood flooring? Or does that require a different type of laquer.
