In my experience it doesn't. Still same ole lag with remote play. Great screen tho
My kids have been using the $6 PSPlay app to stream to their tablets, and they just connect a controller to the tablet with a cord to avoid any pairing/re-pairing issues. Does the PS Portal actually offer any benefits over my setup?
This is the way.

The controller actually functions like a PS5 controller with the adaptive triggers and such, but overall yes it is a similar experience. I use chiaki and ps play on my legion go and rog ally.

So you've got to have a PS5 to use this? It can't game by itself? Lame
What else are you expecting at this price point?

$6? Isn't the app supposed to be free?

Btw, the 20% is off the whole order, so if you need anything else, just add it. Most things are eligible. It is only one-time use though.

You can get an extra 5% off w/ Target Circle card too.

The Xbox Series X is $359.20 after 20% off too.

The Sony official one is free but I don't know if they make it for iPad, I'm an android guy. There's a 3rd party developed one that is paid and offers some additional features.

I just sold my Portal. It work fine for most of the part in the house. You can still have lag if your wifi is not strong. If you want to play outside of your house at Starbucks, etc forget it. Even with the update, it's so unreliable as Sony tries to limit connections to public 5ghz network. It does work well at home. The graphics is a lot better than PSstream on tablets, etc.

I have this and was in the chase when Best Buy was dropping a few of it everyday, it was fun when I got it by the secs.

If you want to bring it outside you have to do some tweaks to your router with port forwarding and etc, look it up in the internet, it worked for me.

If you're inside the house and try to play it, then lagging shouldn't be a problem, just that you will eventually go back to your PS5 with bigger screen and better controller.

It's a nice to have at $200, now at $160 I'd say it's a good deal.

I get a lot of visual artifacts on my go using both methods. Do you? My ps5 is hardwired and my wifi is 250Mb or more upload and download so it's confusing

I have a dedicated WiFi 7/6e 6ghz network for gaming with only 3 or 4 devices on it that my go and ally live on. Using that network, I have zero issues. PS5 is wired.

I can also play at work with no issues, but I have 1 gig fiber at home and 2 gig fiber at work.
