If anyone's wondering i only watched season 3 of this and didn't feel like I was missing any context from the first 2 seasons so that is probably the preferred way to go about it
The first two seasons are pretty bad. The show is genuinely good in its third season, and a worthy send off to the TNG crew. So really you'd be paying $15 for one season, that's the value add.
Loved how the first season went out of its way to vomit all over Measure of a Man. This show is why I'm pulling for AI to put every single one of these kind of writers out of a job.

I've had Paramount+ for a couple of years now thanks to Slickdeals. If you watched STtNG, don't watch this garbage. It's horrible. If you've never watched Next Generation, don't watch this garbage. It's horrible. Same goes for Discovery. Strange New Worlds was decent and much closer to the original shows.
The utter collapse of Star Trek and Star Wars over the last decade will be studied by future generations.

I have this on VUDU but bought it on Itunes as well for the following reason...
HDR on Itunes is better
Itunes will likely get season 3 in 4k...once paramount releases it...
Plus I paid $30 on VUDU but only $15 here...

I had to stop watching Picard because it was ruining my rewatches of TNG. Every time Captain Picard came on screen, I just couldn't stop thinking about how they absolutely ruined his character.

Could you explain a little more on how they crapped all over that episode? I haven't seen any of them, so I'm trying not to go down that rabbit hole so I had to ask

Too bad you can't buy the 3rd season (ie TNG season 8) for 5 dollars.
The first 2 seasons were an absolute mess, unwatchable. But I didn't expect anything else with Alex Kurtzman at the helm.
I would prefer to pay twice the price and have them delete this **** stain from existence. $15 for 3 seasons seems to me to show they can't give this away.
Season 2 is one of the worst seasons of Star Trek, hell sci-fi in general ever made. It's up there with season 3 of Distory, then the rest of Discovery. It's amazing that the same people wrote and made season 3. Season 3 is far from perfect but at least, mostly, watchable.

I've always loved The Next Generation far more than any other Star Trek series.
I liked Picard Season 3, including Patrick Stewart's performance, however he was simply far too old and it's painfully obvious from watching it. It was no longer about the legendary Jean-Luc Picard who speaks with strength, vigor and absolute confidence, but a lesser "old man" version of him, unfortunately. I don't like seeing him like that on film. He deserves better. They should have enhanced/improved it in some way. At times it seemed borderline ridiculous, almost as if he did not have enough strength to speak.
Of course he's still a legend, but he should have retired before Picard imo.
Season 3 and Stewart are still great, to be clear.

Agreed on Season 3 being the best.

1&2 are crap. Not Star Trek at all.
If you watch only watch season 3.
