I know not the same product, but I just got a lifetime 8x10 on clearance at a BJ's for $399 if there's any stores near you. Price dropped from $1200 to $649 to $399 in the span of five days

This is one of those items that went crazy high right after Covid and never went back down even though supply chains and petrochemical prices went way down. I remember the 15x8 being on sale at Sam's for $1699 (or maybe $1599?). Greedy bastards.

I bought this along with the shelves I mentioned as we needed one now. If I didn't need it now I would absolutely wait for Christmas to see if it goes on sale for $1000.

Most places these resin sheds have not gone back down in price, but this particular shed at Costco actually has gone mostly back down. Pre-covid regular price was $1400. Then it jumped all the way up to $1800. Now it is down to $1500. Pre-covid discount price was $1000 so if you can get it at that price it is very much a killer deal.

If you need it now though, don't feel bad at all about pulling the trigger. You are probably not going to get a better deal than this without waiting until Christmas, and even then it is pretty uncertain.

If only it was just 8x12, anything bigger than 8x12 requires a permit in my city and with the neighbors I have I don't want to go through it.
Can you claim interior dimensions? It is 90 in. W x 144 in. D which is 7.5' x 12'

Yep, bought it at $1550 after $200 off two years ago. Not a good deal but needed it at that time. Great shed but still can't figure out how to stop spiders from making the shed their home.
$1550 for the 15x8 was not a good deal?! It was a great deal even at the time IIRC. It was also the better model than this one, with two doors, the rough, more natural looking exterior, and I think an extra window.

I just didn't pull the trigger like I should have.

Any way to make these more structurally solid? I hate the limitations of hanging and building shelving on a resin structure (compared to a wooden shed)
sure...
just build it out of wood Wink

what base do you put these on? does it have to be a concrete pad?
I'm planning on building a gravel pad and then building a wooden frame (2x4 and plywood) to sit on top of that for the shed itself to sit on. From my research that seems to be the best value and something I can do myself. A concrete pad would end up costing far more than the shed itself.

Here is a list of other options. I was going to do the metal jacks, but this is likely too big for that option.

I mentioned what I'm doing in the original post. Shelves are not that expensive. Only a little over $300 for two pretty large shelves that will stretch 10 feet. I plan to put them along one side of the shed and use the included hangers on the other side. I've also considered trying to mount some type of additional wall hanger there, but not for anything heavy.

Oops, sorry I should clarified that I agree on the post covid prices for the 12.5x8. If the 15x8 was that price I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

From what they told me, it can't not measure more than 12' side to side exterior measurements or I need a permit. Which kind of sucks because even if I try to build one I can't use 12' lumber unless I cut it since walls or exterior plywood would make it longer than 12'.

The only way, my neighbor did it, is by putting up 2x4 frames inside the shed screwed to the metal strips in the shed. He didn't like it much in the end, the wood frame gets you a lot more flexibility - but it's also a lot more (either cost or work to make one)

I have my eye on Yardline Piermont 12x16 Wood Storage Shed, Do It Yourself or Installed for 3k. Just spend the money once and be done (if you have the space). Also, clearing out a week of vacation to assemble it.
Yardline Piermont 12x16 Wood Storage Shed is also on sale for $3000 at Costco.

For mice try cotton balls dipped with mint oil. They hate the smell.

May be not this particular model, but there's a YouTube video of someone 'framing' it inside with 2x4s.

Does a shed like this need a concrete pad?
