The problem is if the paint (more accurately the clear coat) on the car isn't protected. Things get on the car and damages the finish. This allows you add a "sacrificial" layer (the "ceramic" coating) in a fast and easy way (compared to way you do traditional ceramic coating). It's a simple spray on and wipe off. Makes the clear coat/paint super hydrophobic and keeps containments away from your clear coat. Also gives the car a very nice shine. Essentially it's a better, more durable "wax". It's pretty inexpensive considering what it does. Rated extremely well on Project Farm.

I've tried a variety of ceramic products (from various brands like Adams, Chemical Bros, CarPro, Ethos, Gtechniq, etc.), for the money and easy of use, this product is hard to beat.

Anyone got recommendations for a 90's convertible mustang? We just now put on a brand new $800 top, but i only know paint and interior dressing, not a top.
I also have a convertible and best I've come up with us a dedicated cover to throw on when the car is not in use. Then standard clean and wash with the rest of the car.

nothing will 100% guard it against bird poop. I also have a bird problem and the ceramic wax is at least a nice layer of protection for it. Best to maintain your car is to consistently clean it with a spray bottle and wipes. The ceramic wax makes it a breeze to clean if you keep up with it for every wash.

This spray is well worth it. A lot of detailers on YouTube would recommend it too. If you're someone who likes taking care of the car but don't know how to detail. It's really great and simple. I don't know how to detail but I use this spray and it works great.

Theoretically makes it not adhere as much, but you wanna know a protip for sap? Try hand sanitizer!

Looking one for my Tesla Y.

How often should I apply it?

After the first application, if the duration has been complete or due for a new coat, what steps/products I should use/follow to clean old application before applying new? Thanks in advance

that's good to know. i know ollies carries megs, didn't know about the others, especially adam's. chemical guys is all marketing though, all subpar products
Ollie's is a liquidator. They don't carry/not carry any specific brands. For this reason, every location is a little different.

However, it seems their buyer buys similar items throughout the country. Probably high-margin shelf-stable goods exclusively. Car products like this are perfect.

Has anyone seen this infomercial where things are sliding off the surface of the car? Can this do that?
I use this and it's difficult to put my car cover on because it keeps sliding off the car.

Is this an easy(easiest) option? I have been wanting to try on my new-ish car and want to keep it up and looking good but some things like this I have seen seem like it involves buffing out and whatnot?

This is probably the easiest 3-6 month protection. You spray 2 shots onto a microfiber, rub onto car, wait a few seconds, flip towel and quickly wipe with the dry side

Just FYI, for darker paint, it will streak.

Not sure why they haven't figured that out yet.

I still recommend it over the other alternatives, if you're ok with it.

Do I use this on top of a wax or in lieu of?

in lieu of.

For your first application, I'd recommend a wash, claybar (you can use a synthetic one now, no need for actual clay anymore) and then apply spray wax. Then just reapply to entire car after a routine car wash. If you're wondering, I notice the water bead effect start deteriorating around the 6-8 week mark if you just leave it as it is, so would recommend reapplying at least that frequently.
