but they're the original. and the best. gladly pay a small company that innovates vs. a large company that rips off.

One of my favorite construction tools is my pair of Viking jacks, of which now exist many copies on Amazon and now, similar tools like this one. So many uses in construction and around the shop and home.

Regardless of which you get, the key feature is being able to lower the load in tiny amounts in controlled fashion. Compare this to a vehicle floor jack, bottle jack, 3rd hand, etc…which can be very imprecise and even dangerous if you want to lower something just a smidge.

At $170 per jack, them Viking Jacks are a spicy meatball!

I love DeWalt. I pay you extra for circular saw, miter saw etc.
At the same time, I cannot see an super advantage of this vs

Brand: BTOBI
4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars 28
2 Pack Labor Saving arm Jack,Wall Tile Locator, Door Panel Lift, Furniture, Windows,Washing Machine Leveling, Precise Control Slow Descent,880lbs Lift Capacity, Full Metal Hand Lifting Jack Tool.

One of the many knockoff versions.

I love these knockoffs. I use them more than I imagined as I age.

Now I don't own the DeWalt version. So I'm guessing. But I lifted some heavy granite countertops ( on their edge) with my knockoffs, so my coworkers and I could get our fingers/hands underneath.

Like I said. Little things like that..where they come in handy.

Indeed, that's why I don't fault anyone for looking at the copies, just gotta make sure they have the feature that makes it a killer tool.

Ironically, taking out the safety features also makes it a killer tool.

True that, got a pair with more lifting height and strength from Amazon for less than the shipping cost. More power to those who bought this item.

any comments on your Amazon product??? This is 1/5 of the price of DeWalt.... love to hear your feedbacks
I've got mine from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...asin_title) as well...to lift my washer and dryer. Honestly, they are also decent tool, well built for their price, and work pretty well.
I would never doubt this Dewalt must be much better with more features (the slow-release function woud be so awesome to have, but mine doesn't), i just hate myself for not having such a budget, but alas I only need this tool once in a blue moon.
I guess at the end of the day, it's all about the value game being practical between what we want vs. what we can afford. If you have the money and need, don't even look at Amazon.

Come on Irwin! I know you guys (sales and marketing reps) creep these hallowed threads.... post us a deal! I'd buy the Irwin version of this thing but not at MSRP.

Now showing at $84.99.

Looks very useful for a narrow range of tasks.
