Regardless of which you get, the key feature is being able to lower the load in tiny amounts in controlled fashion. Compare this to a vehicle floor jack, bottle jack, 3rd hand, etc…which can be very imprecise and even dangerous if you want to lower something just a smidge.

One of the many knockoff versions.
I love these knockoffs. I use them more than I imagined as I age.
Now I don't own the DeWalt version. So I'm guessing. But I lifted some heavy granite countertops ( on their edge) with my knockoffs, so my coworkers and I could get our fingers/hands underneath.
Like I said. Little things like that..where they come in handy.

I would never doubt this Dewalt must be much better with more features (the slow-release function woud be so awesome to have, but mine doesn't), i just hate myself for not having such a budget, but alas I only need this tool once in a blue moon.
I guess at the end of the day, it's all about the value game being practical between what we want vs. what we can afford. If you have the money and need, don't even look at Amazon.
