If only people knew! I'd be all over it, however, if it were for a much easier-to-read translation. Blindness is enough to keep someone from reading it. This deal is, nonetheless, pure fire!

I know it's a popular book, but I found it poorly-written, contradictory, and extremely boring. The plot makes no sense and the "God" character is a monster.

This KJV Bible comes out to 6.33 cents per book; holding out for the Catholic one which at the same price would come out to 5.81 cents per book.

Ever since the protestant Bible dropped the deuterocanonical books for no explicable reason 100 years ago it just hasn't been as slick of a deal. Shrinkflation is everywhere, I guess.

If you're in the market for a KJV, this is a good price for sure. If you're looking for any Bible, I'd personally recommend going with a more modern translation depending on what you're going for (readability, accuracy). ESV, NASB, NKJV, CSB, NLT are good options to try.

That GBTUSA bible has some reviews out there (look for Tim Wildsmith's video on it) and I wouldn't recommend it at that price point. Yes, it is unique in that it includes what it does, but you could get a much better KJV at the $60 price point.

NIV didn't "remove" anything, the best available [at the time] scrolls that they used were missing these ~40 or so verses. There is zero evidence of any sort of coordinated campaign to deliberately omit anything.

You must realize that until Gutenberg invented the printing press, books (including the Bible) were painstakingly copied by hand, one character at a time, and that the books were not organized into chapters and verses until much later. Out of the many many thousands of pages, it is not inconceivable that someone accidentally skipped a sentence, or word, or transliterated, or whatever.

Generic KJV Bibles should be free or better [edit: because plenty of organizations hand these out]. Not even slightly slick.

Um, God wrote the bible, not Gutenbreg or whatever. I don't think he'd accidentally do anything.
