seems like a terrible deal when you can get a new q5 pro for like $169.99 directly from roborock

With ebay "certified refurbished" is described as "pristine, like new condition" Basically it is labeled as refurbished to prevent parasitic sales from their current new stock. By calling it refurbished when it is completely unused, new is perfectly legal despite it being a complete lie as nothing about it is refurbished, or the act of taking worn parts and replacing with new parts to bring it up to factory specs. You can lie about new and call it refurbished, you just can't lie about refurbished by calling it new. But by ebay's definitions there is a huge difference between "certified refurbished" which is new, and the others like "seller refurbished" or even "factory refurbished". Other companies do the same thing for the same reasons, like factory direct with their nomenclature of "factory blemished" which is new and "factory refubrished" which are product returns and are VERY hit or miss as nothing is really refurbished about it other than the name.

The QRevo deal looks like a no brainer with 2 year allstate warranty. Comparing this to $600 new from costco tbh i dont think the +$200 is worth it

I think with the refurbished Dreame L10 being the same price it is a difficult choice.

I just bought the qrevo refurb a month ago from eBay and have been loving it. No signs it was used prior at all. Trying to see if they'll refund a little since it's cheaper now

only issue with Dreame is that their servers are in server farm in china somewhere and they could potentially record the buyers house and scan for whatever. at least thats what ive seen people say on reddit

Not really...l10s ultra is a tier higher with ai object avoidance which is only available with highest tier roborock.
The corresponding robot to QRevo is L10S non-ultra

People have to stop being dumb with China phobia crap .. no one want to look at you or your floor plan... Period.

I'm more concerned about the consumer laws. It's a big process to shut down servers and brick devices in the USA. Anova recently halfway did it on the OG souvide and could only do it after 10 years. China, they can basically shut down the servers whenever. Isn't the dream ultra like $600?
