Does anyone have any advice on how to decide if it's worth paying the extra $46 for the i7?

I'f you're doing audio production or heavy CPU related tasks like hardcore Excel use. Extra CPU cores help for virtual instruments.

If you do work that requires a better integrated graphics card then i7 is the way to go as it has the 96 EUs Intel Iris Xe, if not and you only require it for browsing, media consumption, light productivity then the i5 with the 80 EUs will serve you well.

13th Gen i5-1340P and i7-1360P have the exact same number of cores just running at different clock speeds; the main difference is in their integrated GPU and very insignificant difference in their battery life.

Picked up an open box Slim 7 Pro for $425 from Best Buy. Smaller SSD, but with a RTX 3050. Worth a look if you want to do some light gaming beyond what the Iris graphics can do.

The listing for the i7 version shows the screen is 2240x1400 whereas the i5 variant has the 2.8K screen. Perhaps the i7 listing is incorrect.

Edit: The listing is wrong.

I have one and it keeps giving BSOD critical structure error on sleep or recover from sleep. It has really crazy sleep behavior. I tried disabling fast boot, didn't help

Looks like it only opens 180 and not 360 degrees for tablet use?

I'm gonna eat that sandwich. All jokes aside, it looks good...
Almost as good as 16GB is for 98% of those buying a $552 laptop.

It already states "16GB Soldered LPDDR5-5200."

4 Mighty Rep points for OP. Doc does it again! nod
